This review is from my experience here on Sunday around 3:40 PM. The person manning the drive thru station was AMAZING. Drove by a couple of times and finally decided to take the leap to try them. He obviously could tell it was my first time so he answered some questions about the combos and helped me make my decision. (There was no cars behind me at this time.) I had dave's hot chicken for the first time and got the #2. I was pleasantly surprised about how good their chicken was. It was very juicy and I love how they give you the dave's sauce in packets because I am a sauce FIEND. I got 2 sliders to be flavored hot and medium. The hot wasn't that hot and was tolerable but I think I would go for extra spicy next time for more of a kick. Medium felt like nothing, almost comparable to adding black pepper to something. My husband and I went through the drive thru and pulled up to the order box. The gentleman taking our order asked if it was our first time or if we were returning guests. It was so nice as it happened to be our first time and he explained the menu and options in a time efficient but thorough way. When we got to the pay window a different gentleman was there and he was super nice and helpful. Would go back just because of the customer service alone. Food was hot and flavorful. Very great service.

Best fried chicken in Irvine! The chicken isn't random unidentifiable pieces lol it's actual white meat. It's not the cheapest but worth checking out!

While driving to Universal Studios with my teenage nephew, he asked if I had ever been to Dave's Hot Chicken? While I live about a mile from the store in Lakewood, we found that another store was 2 miles from our hotel near the theme park, so we plugged the coordinates into the GPS and off we went. We each ordered the two tender meal, mild spice for me and medium for him. The tenders are huge!! The French fries are tasty. The only thing keeping me from awarding 5 is that drinks are separate from the meal.

Dave's chicken is really a great experience I've been to two of them the one in irvine and one in Costa Mesa both visits were an experience the chicken was hot, the art on the walls the people there were really friendly. Theres a variety of choices in how spicy you want your chicken be warned my friends extra hot is hottt not like chickfila spicy deluxe . very crispy juicy and full of flavor . Always recommend Daves! Anytime any day. Always friendly staff and fresh chicken.. Prices are perfect too
