The hot level is hot. It will taste great but make you perspire profusely. The mild is a smart choice. Large chicken breasts, nice. Well battered. Pretty pricey IMO.

First time at Dave's Hot Chicken! My wife and I were touring downtown Indianapolis and stopped in their Massachusetts Avenue location. This is a somewhat trendy area and had several options for lunch, but I really wanted to give Dave's a shot. It was after noon and the restaurant was not very busy. Service was great. This was a Quick and delicious service !! No complaints on this mild chicken sandwich and cheesy fries :) they were great

Dylan took good care of me and I got my food hot and fresh. The dining room was clean and it's right in the heart of downtown. So looking outside the page picture windows while waiting on my food was nice. I got the bites with the fries medium heat. I'd say go.

This is over hyped. The food over all is mid, the chicken quality is there but the seasoning really had no flavor and there wasn't any spicy, we ordered medium not knowing where the spicy would lie on it, and that was a mistake. Seasoning looks more like red 40 mix! Good portion sizes just wouldn't return due to the overall taste. Dave's sauce tastes like mayonnaise with pepper. Dave's is always excellent the new fries are great I get the medium heat it's not too spicy at all. Make sure to get a side of cheese and extra Dave's sauce.

I had Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time. I got the two piece tender meal mild and it was just the right amount. It also came with two pieces of bread that was good for making a little sandwich out of it. The fries were perfect crispy and seasoned. The Dave's sauce pairs perfectly with the chicken and the fries. The service was okay. The works seemed like they were ready to get off of work. But the ambiance was quiet and not too busy. Overall not a bad experience! 4/5!
