I enjoyed the chicken and the building. The let down here was the service. They did tell us it would be 15-20 minutes since they drop everything fresh. It was about 35 minutes after ordering when my husband went to check on the food and it took 10 more minutes for it to come out. He noticed the staff in the kitchen eating and laughing. Anytime I see consistent customer service replies, I feel confident that at minimum they are listening, a very good quality. Let's be honest. Good help is hard to find. People have bad days. Poo happens. Kudos to Yelp reviewers and to customer service who listen.

The hot level is hot. It will taste great but make you perspire profusely. The mild is a smart choice. Large chicken breasts, nice. Well battered. Pretty pricey IMO.

First time at Dave's Hot Chicken! My wife and I were touring downtown Indianapolis and stopped in their Massachusetts Avenue location. This is a somewhat trendy area and had several options for lunch, but I really wanted to give Dave's a shot. It was after noon and the restaurant was not very busy. Service was great. This was a Quick and delicious service !! No complaints on this mild chicken sandwich and cheesy fries :) they were great

Dylan took good care of me and I got my food hot and fresh. The dining room was clean and it's right in the heart of downtown. So looking outside the page picture windows while waiting on my food was nice. I got the bites with the fries medium heat. I'd say go.

This is over hyped. The food over all is mid, the chicken quality is there but the seasoning really had no flavor and there wasn't any spicy, we ordered medium not knowing where the spicy would lie on it, and that was a mistake. Seasoning looks more like red 40 mix! Good portion sizes just wouldn't return due to the overall taste. Dave's sauce tastes like mayonnaise with pepper.
