I went to daves the first time in 2019 in LA. I had been waiting for years for it to get out of LA. I heard they opened up on in Waco and had to get there and see it for myself. It taste the same in Waco as it did in LA. The only difference is its fake bussin in Waco. In LA i waited outside for over an hour to get it. Here I was able to walk in. The family had lunch at the newly opened Dave's Hot Chicken restaurant located in Waco, TX today Saturday, July 9, 2022. We ordered a variety of menu items at different heats. We ordered chicken tenders in hot, mild, and extra hot. We ordered mild chicken sliders. We ordered regular fries, cheese fries, and macaroni and cheese. So good! I will say although I ordered a lite mild spice, there was still a good amount of heat. But it is hot chicken after all. The chicken tenders are a great size and so so juicy. I enjoyed my meal with a delicious shake so that certainly helped tame the spice. The Dave's house sauce pairs great with the chicken too. And the art inside too...so awesome(: Look forward to coming back next time I'm in town!

Atmosphere- Clean, quaint , and modern. Service- I dined in and the speed of service was acceptable. The cashier was polite and accommodating. Food: The slider was meaty. I tried it with medium heat and with no spice. I don't think the spice elevated the sandwich that much. My slider was made to order so kudos for that but I was not blown away. Great service. Little long of a drive through line but it's the new New so it's expected. Very friendly service and the chicken was unique, that's not easy in this town of chicken places. Love their sauce. It's more expensive then most places but everything is more so what are you going to do. Over all I like it and will be back!

Amazing atmosphere with the customer service to match. You could hear the laughter from the kitchen as they were all joking around with each other. The ladies in the front came by while we were eating and offered to refill our drinks and take care of any needs we might have. The food was definitely worth the wait. We will keep coming back!

I have a new favorite chicken place. The chicken is prepared so nicely, with so many different heat levels to choose from. It was so tender and juicy, while the sauce and kale slaw adds a perfect touch. The fries were hot and very crispy with a slight kick to them which was also very enjoyable. The customer service and atmosphere was very welcoming and adds to the experience.
