TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Very good hot chicken. I thought this was a take on Nashville hot chicken but the spice they use is different than Nashville style. I would say it's more of a Caribbean style of spices. Still very good and very hot. I ordered one slider plus a tender. Both "Hot". There are two levels of heat above hot but I'd never go there. Hot is HOT! If you like spicy hot food, this is your place.
Ordered the Reaper!!!!! Signed my life away! The best sandwich this side of the East River. If you love spicy like me, it is hot lava. Had me sweating in 20 degree weather. Price is amazing for the amount of food you get, especially in Midtown. I'd give it 10 stars if it allowed. Going back for more!
I've never had real Tennessee hot chicken before so this was pretty eye opening. It has a real spice kick. I order 1 medium and 1 hot and they were both a more than I could handle. I couldn't tell which was which. The prices are a little high, but it seems like it is quality ingredients.
Legendary place? Not sure I get the hype. The chicken was tender and cooked properly but I don't get the seasoning. It dries out the food and the flavor tastes almost chalky. The chicken slider was just ok. It does take a little while to get the food too but I guess they make it fresh. Overall, you can tell they know how to cook the chicken properly but not sure I get the seasoning. It was busy so maybe it was just me.

Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich has always been my go to since it was introduced until yesterday when I had ordered some for delivery! Ordered the Dave's slider (HOT) with a side of fries. Let's just say that both are absolutely delicious. Well seasoned slider which includes a fried chicken tender, pickles, slaw, and Dave's sauce (which was also included on the side)! Went to a Super Ball Party and it was catered from Dave's Hot Chicken. It was DELICIOUS!!! The mild, medium and hot chicken sandwich were AMAZING!!! Their sauce gives them the extra taste you don't want to do without. Definitely looking forward to hosting my own party and having some Dave's Hot Chicken for my family and friends to enjoy.
