Tried Dave's in the city with a friend I wanted to meet up quickly with. Ive heard great things about this joint specifically because they use halal meat and we all know Halal fast food options are few and far between even in a place like New York City. The customer service there is stupendous! Absolutely amazing honestly never had a fast food type spot ask me if I enjoyed the food after I was done eating and how I liked the sauce and made sure to tell me to have a great day 10/10 ! It's very clean and neat and I love the artwork in there gives off dope vibes. But on to the actual chicken sandwich it was phenomenal! I had heard about the nyc opening a while ago and finally made it down to try it. Since I ordered everything medium spicy, I didn't get to try the famous hotter varieties. But everything was still really good. The chicnen was tender and flavorful. The fries were hot and well-seasoned. The guy handing out the orders was friendly. Arrived mid day on a Sunday. All seats were taken inside but there was no wait for ordering. I ordered the #3 combo - tender, slider and fries (approximately $15 including tax). I figured this would give me a chance to try mild and medium spice levels. It took about 2 minutes for me to get my order. The portion was huge!!! Neither spice level was really that spicy though. Amazing meal, I just wish it had more flavor. They're famous for their spices which are NO JOKE. My cousin decided to get the reaper special and boy let me tell you... The spices were so hot he was sweating for 30 minutes straight. I chose to get the mild because my spice tolerance is low.
