TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I'm here everytime I'm in the area it's a tradition at this point. The spicy chicken sliders are my favorite. Inside is clean and very aesthetically pleasing. All the people that working when I come in always are friendly, also chicken is halal!

The food is awesome and delicious (for the adults)! But I have to take a star off because on multiple occasions, our kids complained about the chicken being spicy even though we specifically order the "no spice" versions...I have a feeling that their chicken may not be well "quarantined" from each other when they put together multiple sandwiches in an order... Service is always good whenever we go and they have a good amount of space for dining in. I'm glad this place isn't too far from our house so we can always have anoth... read more

Thanks, Drake for the free slider! Happy Birthday to you! I got the slider in HOT, a tender, cheese fries, and the mac and cheese. My favorite was the mac and cheese!! The cheese fries and slider were good too! Would definitely come back again. I would probably try the spicy level above HOT next time because I didn't think HOT was that hot.

I visited Dave's Hot Chicken since they had a free slider promotion going on for Drake's birthday! Despite the line being wrapped inside the building, the wait was not terrible. I believe I waited less than 30 minutes to get to the front, then maybe 10 extra minutes for my two sliders to be ready. Time is non-existent for free food right?!
