TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Tried Dave's Hot Chicken yesterday (1/11/23) to see if it lived up to all the hype. First thing we noticed that if you decide to "dine in" you are confronted with a parking problem. In order to get to a parking space, you must some how navigate the drive-thru line - it block the parking lot entrance. Once you manage to park, it's pretty smooth sailing. Great service and food. Nice big area in the back for larger groups of people. My family enjoyed and definitely will be back.
Chicken is good had medium heat and it has a kick. Service was good staff very helpful!!
This place reminds me of raising canes, but it is So much better. I got their medium spice sandwich and it was perfect. I also really like their fries and sauce. My only complaint is their meals are like $12 and they don't come with a drink. That's an addition $2.00. But their food is good and I will be back.
Simple menu, cause they know what's best. Just get whatever - it's all around the chicken tenders. Mild, hot, hotter... grab a decent milk shake, and some crinkle cut fries, or some Mac and cheese. All just "okay" cause their only purpose is to compliment the chicken.
Finally a food joint when the menu says hot. Its actually hot! The coleslaw is fresh and the pickles are crisp
Wow... another chicken shack. Great. Chicken appeared dry on the outside but was surprisingly juicy inside. It seems they use a dry spice rub for heat, as my chicken did not come out with sauce dripping from it. They do offer a Dave's sauce, which is pretty tasty. Love their medium and hot, more flavor than chick Fila shoot maybe even more flavor than my ex wife!
Curious about this place given the reviews. Our visit today went well with friendly service. Staff seemed to be hard at work for sure. It's a cool spot, but if you've ever been to a Zaxby's, Guthrie's or Raising Cane's then you will most likely be disappointed. It's a similar concept, but our chicken was a bit dry. Favorite parts of the meal were the fries and pickles. Still a fun experience overall. Might come back later to try a milkshake if they are still around during the summer?
