Wow... another chicken shack. Great. Chicken appeared dry on the outside but was surprisingly juicy inside. It seems they use a dry spice rub for heat, as my chicken did not come out with sauce dripping from it. They do offer a Dave's sauce, which is pretty tasty. Prices are a little steep but you get enough food in one platter for two so it kind of evens out. The sliders aren't sliders but rather regular sized chicken sandwiches. Overall, this place is OK. Curious about this place given the reviews. Our visit today went well with friendly service. Staff seemed to be hard at work for sure. It's a cool spot, but if you've ever been to a Zaxby's, Guthrie's or Raising Cane's then you will most likely be disappointed. It's a similar concept, but our chicken was a bit dry. Favorite parts of the meal were the fries and pickles. Still a fun experience overall. Might come back later to try a milkshake if they are still around during the summer?

Have been wanting to try this place for some time and finally had the chance to try Dave's today. Overall really good experience. We showed up at lunch time and despite being super busy restaurant was very clean and service was great. Our food was very good and I will say that because I really don't like friend chicken but this is as cooked very well and still very juicy. Plus the added spice was also on point. Dropped into Dave's Hot Chicken for a quick - late - lunch with a friend recently. Glad I did. The good - the food and the service. That was some tasty, juicy chicken. Medium heat was the right choice for me. Thanks to the person taking our order for the advice that medium is hotter than you'd expect. I was going to order the Hot and I'm glad I didn't. You should all try this place for yourself and support their opening. My notes: The dining area is large. Two people taking orders and we didn't have to wait at 5:00 pm on Thursday. Napkin dispensers are available where you pick up your food and at the soda fountain. (None at the table) Meals start at $9.99 (1 slider and a side) and do not include a drink. Ok clearly there's a reason for the lines. It's good chicken. Now the reason for my 3 stars. Let's be honest. How you gonna serve hot chicken and not have ranch but your Dave's sauce is just mayo and ketchup. Make a better sauce or put some ranch in the menu because that lost you a star right there. Dave's is so good! I'm so happy there is one in Idaho now. I got the medium tender sandwich and it was so good. I also really like the Mac and cheese and fries. Their chocolate milkshakes are really good too. When I was there it was super busy but the Line was fast. Their customer service is also fantastic. While I was eating Avery (a worker) came over and offered me a refill and to take my trash. I was really appreciative of this and he was super friendly. Definitely coming back here.
