So finally got to try Dave's! It was an ugly rainy day in Oakland and this lunch definitely added a little joy and brightness to my day . So the slider! I did mild with cheese! Hella good lots of pickles would've like Mayo on and a bigger bun but it was so amazing tender juicy with a nice crunch . The fries hit and the dipping sauce was amazing ( even tho the portion was small ) maybe u have to ask for extra. Overall the customer service was great , it was clean and the food was great!

"Dave's Hot Chicken" is serving up spicy tender chicken sandwiches in downtown Oakland. Are you still eating boring chicken sandwiches? We placed an order online and it was ready for pick up as soon as we got there about 20 minutes later. I def. thought the price was worth it for the amount of food. the sliders are huge. I could only eat about one before getting full. They must use breast meat for their tenders and they are huge. The chicken is flavorful. Even though it's fried,bit still tastes fresh. Was in need of food and something close to work. Ok, check. Enough stars to give it a try, check. So here we go. Menu is simple, nothing major but a choice. Ordered the two sliders with fries off their site. Pickup time 10 mins so waited 13 before I walked over there. Line was make long so I'm thinking my food ain't gonna be ready. Apparently chicken, specifically spicy chicken and Oakland are synonymous. Be it Korean spicy, Nashville hot, Cajun, buffalo and Jamaican. Be it breast, thighs waaangs drumettes flats or the whole bird. One new edition to DT oak town is Dave's which is a substantial chain in the west enters the chicken mob. I been craving a hot crispy chicken sandwich and found one near me. So I Uber eats it (upped $7 for taxes/etc) I ordered a meal that came with one slider and a side of fries. Im thinking "slider" they'll be small. But nope it was a littler bigger than a slider (I used a sauce pack for size reference) I read the reviews to decide if I needed two or not. Finally a hot chicken spot I can get behind. As of late, there are so many hot chicken spots opening around the bay area! Safe to say the hot chicken industry is getting a bit stuffy and saturated. To be able to make this claim as my go to hot chicken spot in Oakland, I had to try majority of their menu in all different heat settings (I have not tried the Reaper yet though). This spot is about a block away from work. A lot of hype so I decided to check it out. It did not disappoint! I got the 1 slider and w chicken finger meal. The chicken tasted really fresh. Their sauce is so good! If you're in the area and want chicken fingers, I recommend!
