So many fried chicken options now in Downtown Oakland, DHC just opened on the corner of Broadway and Grand Ave. The inside is simple with colorful paint and plenty of tables and bar seating along the windows. The menu is very basic, choice of spicy (Reaper, Xtra Hot, Hot, Med, Mild, lite, and no spice) then pick either slider (tender with one slice of white bread0 or slider ( hamburger bun with a bigger piece of chicken). Walked into this place after a concert, and didn't regret it at all. Ordered: 2 slider w/ fries set - This set had two generous sliders and a good amount of fries. It was Nashville hot chicken, so it had a good lingering dry spice, even at hot which was 3 levels from the top. Order 3 of the two strips n sliders they gave us something else orders we can't handle spice just mild and my wife couldn't eat hers since was way to spicy burning hell. What a waste of money and my son couldn't eat his at all no way I'd let him try his

Employee named brandon threatend to spit in my food. Sucha jerk! And he left fries on a dirty counter, looked at it and left it there. Very dirty.

The food is so good. I don't know what white sauce was. It might've been my last night but that shit tasted amazing. The service was just amazing. The food came out hot and the ambience was great.

I was a little underwhelmed with how "loaded" my fries were. Barely any cheese, coleslaw or chicken and lots of fries. I got a medium but it tasted like no heat. The size of the chicken were about the same size of my kids chicken nuggets from chick fil a. I mean it tasted fine but the only thing that was loaded was my disappointment.

I ordered the mini sliders and was very disappointed. They should be called tiny chicken nuggets. It's hard to understand how they charge $7.49 for almost nothing. The box was almost weightless. I would eat it again if it was free but I would never order that again. It was a waste of time and money but I learned my lesson.

We waited forever for 2 Not chicken bites and they cleared the whole restaurant of everyone and their orders and we got the food after 30-35 min... no one in there tho...Horrible service!

The chicken sandwich is abnormally huge. I'm sure it's GMO. The flavor of the chicken sandwich was bland. The chicken was just coated with an unnatural color red seasoning that had zero flavor. And it was not hot at all. The sandwich is edible, but not good. Also don't care for their fries. Won't be returning.
