TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken surprised me with how good it was. I didn’t think it would be that great after looking at the photos of some of the food and I can tell you it definitely tastes better than it might look. There was some really good flavor for the hot chicken where it was well balanced. It wasn’t too much spice and flavor to drown out the chicken and it wasn’t too little to be bland and flavorless. Halal spot : Daves is always our go-to restaurant whenever we're heading back to the South. I love it because it's conveniently located right near the freeway exit, so you can grab a quick bite on the way. The kiosks to place your order and enter your name are a nice touch, and they call you by name when your food is ready. The ambiance is great, with some pop music playing in the background. If you're craving some seriously good hot chicken, Dave's Hot Chicken is the place to be! I stopped by recently, and the experience did not disappoint. First off, the chicken--perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. I tried the Dave's #3: 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries, extra hot,, and it had just the right amount of heat without overpowering the taste. The chicken was seasoned extremely well and the chicken was high quality and moist. The service was very nice and employees were helpful. The restaurant was very clean and nice to be in. The fries were very crispy and tasted amazing.
The staff was so awesome great service really needs the difference so we will definitely be back for the amazing food and the awesome service! The slider and fries was so good with the secret sauce and the honey and the pickles… Five stars 10 out of 10!
