Tasty Chicken w/Friendly Customer Service. Dave's Hot Chicken recently opened (formerly a McDonald's), across the street from the North Bethesda Metro Station. My friend/I visited recently trying the "mild" version of Dave's Hot Chicken. Specifically tenders for me, my friend nuggets; we both got fries as our side. Tasty flavorful. Finally had a chance to try the Dave's Hot Chicken that opened near up. Picked up some for lunch for my family to try. Ordered oline and was ready when I got there. The customer service was really good. Got the Chicken Tenders (Medium) for my oldest, 2 Sliders (Mild) for my youngest and the Hot Mozz. This is great for grabbing a quick meal . The chicken items are all pretty spicy but you can get a few less spicy options. It's mostly a take away place but it's quick and easy.

Lots of different chicken dishes - many of them very spicy so if that's your thing, this is the place! Very casual and many folks carry-out.

This was the best chicken I have had in my life! I ordered a Dave's #3 with no pickles, slaw, or sauce;(I'm a bit picky), and they accommodated my changes wonderfully. I came in 30 minutes before closing with a huge group (~20 people), and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The staff were all lovely and friendly, especially Camille, Brandon, Sara, D'Andree, and Tina. This was my first time at a Dave's hot chicken and my first time writing a review. I love how inviting this food joint looks on the outside with the painted mural all around, it really blends in with North Bethesda/ Pike & Rose atmosphere There are multiple kiosks where you can order your food but also have the option of ordering with the cashier The chicken had a good spice level and wasn't dry but the whole meal itself was just too salty for my liking.

Food is very good, but because of that they were very busy and I had to wait a while for it. Try not to go during the lunch/dinner rush. Update: now that it's not as new my recent order didn't take as long to make, their food is ALWAYS good. I was not a fan of the Colliflower one (but I'm also not a fan of Colliflower anything...)

Second review, they were nice enough to give me the mild sauce on the chicken nuggets still they were coated a nuclear red, so I was apprehensive, They were perfectly soft as usual, next time, I'll dial up the heat, I don't see the point of the nuclear red powder if it's not spicy. What red dye do they use? They are notch above all competitors with their soft moist texture.
