Get directionsDual diagnosis was great. Repeated classes were a downfall Going to Desert Hope has changed my outlook on life and has made me an overall better person.
Business response:
We appreciate that you took the time to review us, Marissa. Rarely do we treat someone for just addiction. Often, folks are also battling depression or anxiety and we have therapists and psychiatrists who address that part of the "Dual Diagnosis". We have updated our curriculum and hear that repetition is not the experience now. Please reach out to our alumni corps.
Clean, amazing staff, incredible classes, decent food, all around I'd give it a 5 star rating Too much free time for clients on the weekends. IOP needs to offer more outings. Yes we are there for recovery, but we also need to learn and know we can do different activities without using. Desert Hope offers an absolutely amazing and incredible residential as well as IOP for those seeking recovery. The staff is absolutely amazing, well trained, no judgement, and super understanding. I could not have asked for a better facility ... read more
Business response:
Brooke, we are grateful for your powerfully positive experience. We have increased the range of activities at the Outpatient levels of care. And, we are glad to be part of your success story.
The BHT's are by far the strengths of the facility The Manager ...I feel like my hole process group was spent talking about him because he will contact people from home that he wasn't allowed to which will cause stress ans distraction from the bigger goal which is getting sober and working on yourself. My experience was amazing, it's whatever you put in and what effort you give. I absolutely loved the staff they are amazing I find it phenomenal on how a group of people could care so much about strangers.
Business response:
Our genuine passion for what we do was picked up in your review, FZ. Thank you for noticing that the staff are doing the right job the right way for the right reasons here at Desert Hope. We would like to speak with you further about any staff member who was causing you stress; please call the Clinical Director any time it is convenient for you.
Clean and most of the staff was friendly and approachable. The nurses were fabulous. A downfall was that the groups are repetitive and the therapists were not very helpful, i felt like my issues were not addressed in therapy. Very disorganized in groups and no massage which i was told id get. During inpatient in every group people wasted time talking about iop. There should be an orientation or class for info about iop. The groups were poorly managed so it was tough to learn anything. I have allergies and could not eat a l... read more

We appreciate your review, Erin. And, we are sorry you did not have a positive experience. Our new curriculum is managed by more licensed leaders than ever before, and it includes an Outpatient orientation. Chef is always willing to tailor your meals according to allergies, preferences, or any other restriction or guideline. If you programmed from the community and are able, please stop by any time so we might have the benefit of your feedback.
Co-Occurring disorder treatment is excellent I loved it
Business response:
Thanks Dennis. We know that treating an addiction without also addressing other challenges is not the kind of recovery that will last the way we want it to. Please make sure to connect with our alumni.
A strength included their Cleanliness But it was unorganized I thought it was fair. And good for a rehab facility
Business response:
We appreciate your experience, Kyle. We have a curriculum now that is driven by impact and quality and the movement from one level of care to another is well anticipated and makes sense to each client. We are sorry you felt some negatives and hope you connect with our alumni coordinator.
Nursing staff , BHT's and mental health professionals were extremely well trained and very courteous. Attention to detail when cleaning was superb, but furniture needs to be cleaned or replaced. Nursing staff and mental health professionals were great!! Positive and uplifting staff made this a wonderful experience! They were very supportive and wonderful in helping me achieve sobriety!
