I have watched Desert Hope grow and mature as a treatment facility since before the doors opened. Caring for clients and vividly promoting recovery have been the foundations of our development. You get out what you put in. If you are willing to work, you can get it done at Desert Hope. They will help you with detox medication, but then it was up to me and I am still doing well a year later.
My therapist was great and helped me in ways I did not expect. My case manager took care of my FMLA and short term disability so I could focus on my recovery. It is a lovely place with a staff who care. They fought for me as hard as I fought for my life. It is the best decision I ever made.
Staff is caring, place is very nice, 12 step walk is beautiful. Food was good. Strong 12 step programming.
My case manager was wonderful. My therapist really made a difference. The Clinical Director handled some concerns and helped me out immediately.

For those of you that say it\'s a prison, you must have been trying to do something bad. If you go to your program, keep an open mind, and respect those around you, its a great place! It was a nice facility (not overly fancy) with adequate care. I\'m sober and that I can contribute to the help of Desert Hope! Thank you

Like others have mentioned, treatment is exactly what YOU make of it. As I read these other reviews I try to figure out why they are so upset. YOU have to want this. This is for YOU... I went, I was treated with respect and I took what I wanted from the tools provided to me. There are a lot of meetings and therapy, but that is why I went.
