This place is a total scam. They don't do acutal therapy until you reach OP. They over medicate alcoholics and under medicate opaite addicts.
I’m not impressed with this place. We sent our loved one from Texas to rehab under self pay which was very expensive. He got to the facility and was given a room in isolation and had complete freedom to use his phone and contact the outside world. After two days he was put in general population. He told us that the facility took another guy to the bank where he was able to obtain drugs. Later in the rehab our loved one was able to obtain drugs in the facility and smoke meth. They will get you there but when it comes to leaving flying ,greyhound etc. they will not help you in any way.even after the specialist I was talking to guaranteed “we will not leave you in vegas stranded “ they will lie to you or what ever it takes to get you there. Shame on you desert hope. You got me there and then I was stranded.
Not sure how this place received good reviews however this is a rehab in Las Vegas so not surprising really . The program is not structured whatsoever there’s no plan nobody talks to you about a plan the family is not involved in the treatment it’s pretty much a free for all it’s difficult to get ahold of caseworkers there is no therapist or dr that visits daily they allow people to keep their cell phones while your doing an inpatient program it’s hard enough to detox and try and deal with substance abuse having a cell phone... read more
These facilities are an absolute jock. The representatives absolutely misrepresent their programs. They will rob you. Our experience was once we got there and found out that the program promised was all lies and checked out they charged $5000. Dollars for one day. Can you believe these crooks. I would not trust these people to help anyone with a addiction problem. Take my advice don't go to any of their facilities. They are liers and thieves.
Desert Hope is without exception a 100% scam. Their call center will tell you whatever they think you want to hear in order to get you in the door. And once you show up, you'll be told something completely different. What they are doing is unconscionably harmful, dangerous, and just plain evil. Most one-star reviews for rehabs are likely placed by patients who didn't want to go to begin with, or were forced to go due to family pressure, their jobs or other external factors. This addiction center doesn’t follow it’s own rules before kicking out a patient. They are supposed to give written warnings if a patient fails to follow rules, but came into my room one morning and told me I had to leave for breaking rules: 1) being reminded to wear mask 2) late to a couple of group therapy meetings because of having to stand in a long line to get meds 3) accused of pocketing a pill when it was still in my hand (I had to get more water to take the pill because the staff forgot to give it to me when they gav... read more

Let me start with the positives: Their hot water is very hot. The nurses are nice and very professional. The gym is impressive. And they will keep you fed and medicated. Everything else at Desert Hope Las Vegas is a train wreck, which is why I transferred to another facility after eight days of not getting the treatment I went for.
