Get directionsI called because my Saint Bernard had thrown up, was lethargic, and not eating. I was told to bring her right over. I did. We waited 45 minutes for a vet tech to take her back. She was brought back out and I was told she was stable and either I could take her home or leave her and do xrays. I asked the tech what was recommend and she had to go back in the back and ask. She came back and said “we can do xrays”. We arrived around 10:30 am so this was about 11:15 am. Around 5:30 I called to find out if I needed to come get her.... read more

More worried about you wearing a stupid mask than taking care of your animal. Had us sitting in the car for an excessive amount of time after the appointment and I had to go inside to ask for my pet before they brought him out. Totally ridiculous!
Business response:
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We apologize if our mask mandate caused you any frustrations at your last visit and thank you for working with our hospital as we continue to remain committed to the health and safety of our team and our community. Please note, as of April 18th, mask-wearing will be optional.
Was charged over $1,500 to not be given a direct diagnosis about my cat. No tests for other illnesses, immediate cancer diagnosis, recommendation of expensive chemotherapy. 4 days later when my cat needs some fluids because he's dehydrated, I am turned away and told to go to my vet who then told me to contact this emergency room again to get the fluids. They are now screening my phone calls as my cat desperately needs these fluids. I've attempted to call multiple times only to be turned away by an automatic service while ... read more
My first experience was quite awful. My almost 15 years old senior dog fell down 12 stairs and had not eaten for 2 days or drank water. The wait was over 35 hours. My dog was barley breathing. I kept calling to see if I can please take him in. I got several attitudes my dog was 9th. Please start taking senior dogs has a priority. I took my dog elsewhere and he wasn’t well. Today 1/27/22 I had no where else to take my boy as he was throwing up blood and pooping blood clots. It was scary. I drove and registered I told them ... read more

I’ll keep this very minimal. We took our parvo positive puppy here today and sat in an isolation room for almost 4 hours and pup was not a priority and was going downhill as time went on. We finally requested to leave and found another hospital that took his condition seriously. If i were you and you were in need of emergency services for a pet that you care about, go ANYWHERE but here. Sincerely an HONEST person who believes this place was extremely unprofessional and doesn’t provide the quality that they should be. I’m sho... read more

This place is the worst. Last Wednesday, I had a Siamese that stopped eating, drinking, getting sick, and defecating all over the house. She lost over 3 pounds of weight and we knew something was wrong. Registered her to this place that Saturday, only to be put on a queue and have never heard a single word or a simple ring of the phone as far as when to bring her in. Come Sunday, we deemed her in a critical emergency and needed veterinary intervention. Took her in, they took her vitals and ultimately stated that her vit... read more
This is the worst place. They do many test charge you way too much money for test and still don’t tell you what is wrong with your doggie. Two times my doggie as gotten into the car and drank two bowls of water like they gave him no water. Be careful as they don’t give you a Itemized estimate or end Bill. Please request one. You will be shocked. My Bill was paid on full they still would NOT bring my dog out. They were basically holding him hostage. I ask for over 50 mins. They were too busy trying to explain why they... read more

After experiencing a very frightful event with my beloved dog, Dakota, of 13 years, I took her to Dogs and Cats in Bowie for emergency care. I received devastating news that, of course, any dog parent would never want to hear. I never thought that that day would be the very last day I would see my dog child. The bedside manner of the attending physician was inconsiderate. I felt like I was being rushed to make a decision for my dog’s care when I wanted to wait for my husband. From the treatment i received, the doctor show... read more
For $1000 we found that our puppy has a non curable, terminal condition. Was a sad discovery.
