Waited an hour and a half and still no dr came into the room to see my pet. This was an hour outside in the car waiting for a room to become available and then 30 mins in the actual room. If you are short staffed or that behind maybe a phone call to the patient's would be appropriate... And if you count how long I was on hold so I could check in that adds another 15 mins on to the time. I witnessed people with dogs arriving after me going right in before me and my cat. Then I had to wait for the staff to become available... read more

Today I made a call to this vet's office for both of my dogs to have their nails trimmed and have their anal glands expressed. I was told since they both were due for a physical in May the doctor (Dr Chew) would not allow the procedures because of the risk of liability. These are 14 year old dogs and have been going to this office frequently for these procedures. Have received all their shots and are up to date.I am on a fix income and the choice is roof over our heads and food on the table for the dogs and my family. Why is... read more

One star, because someone answered the phone! When I call to ask how much the procedure will cost to have my cat spayed, the receptionist tells me she doesn't know and I'll find out when I get there! What?! You have to be kidding me! No one who invests in going to veterinary school deserves such poor representation. I'm sure the vets at this establishment care a lot more about animals than the people answering their phones do... at least, I hope so. (Or, after reading some of these other reviews... maybe they don't!)

4/3/2018 My dear little miniature beagle rescue has been going to EGAH for about 7 months. She's been in for a series of shots and boarding. We've spent hundreds of dollars there. Since the very beginning, I've asked about dental cleaning. I know that my dog needs it and that it's expensive. On the first visit last summer, I was quoted about $750. In late February of 2018, I was quoted $780 and told that there would be a $72 discount, so it would ... read more

With a friends of animals certificate you can get your pet neutered for 65 bucks. Their website listed east geenbush animal hospital as one of the places that accepts the certificate. I called them to inquire about the procedure. The woman I spoke to on the phone stated firmly I wouldn't pay anything for the appointment and the neutering was free with the certificate. The only thing I would pay for was any pain meds and after surgery care. So I scheduled the appointment. I was charged 50 dollars for the appointment. The vet ... read more

Do not for any reason use this vet! My father in law called me after his 13 year old daughter called him at work to say that the family gig was shaking on the floor. I rushed over and took him to the family vet (eg animal hospital) that they have used for years. The place has an over powering smell of cat urine but ok it's a vet. There's 4 girls at the desk, one doing paper work, 2 talking and one doing charts. No acknowledgement until finally one asks if we are checking in. I explain the situation and we are told to have a ... read more

Business response:

We reached out to Mr. Lenartz two days after his pet's visit but could not speak with him and did not receive a call back. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the visit to our practice. The pet was brought in by two minors without an appointment. We are required to address patient care and finances with the legal owner. A complete physical exam was performed and then the legal owner was contacted by phone and a diagnostic and treatment plan was discussed. Mr. Lenartz showed up toward the end of the visit and ever... read more

I recently took my dog that is 8 pounds to this veterinary clinic and when she came back from her shots she was horrified. It's been a week and she has not come around. She is distant, she hides under chairs. She has never been this way. Somebody abused my dog while she was there. SAD Somebody could do that to an animal.

My rabbit had an operation for an abscess on his Jaw. I was told that the surgery would be around $1k if teeth had to be pulled. When the doctor called me, she told me she did not have to pull teeth that she just trimmed them. When i went in to pick him up from surgery, Jada the receptionist had me pay and I asked why the price was $1,140 and she told me that they would go over everything after I paid and went into the room. A tech was sent in and she did not go over any pricing with me and barely knew how to answer any of ... read more

Brought my bunny Sylvia there for care, these seemed concerned enough over the years, but brought her in with GI Stasis issues Monday, and they seemed unconcerned or resigned to the fact that she wasn't save able. She died yesterday. They were happy to charge me $200 for the visit, happy to send me home with drugs for her, but unable to tell me she was either past recovery or didn't offer me on site solutions to clear her blockage. I'm sort of feeling I lost a beloved pet to their cavalier attitude of "rabbits are fragile"... read more
