Updated review: got a email from the owner suggesting I take down my negative review. This is WILD!!!!!!! To be clear, we still do not feel appropriate care was given and we never agreed with her.
They provided extremely poor care for our puppy. We brought her in with an easily recognized problem which somehow was not addressed under anesthesia. We subsequently had to take her to emergency vet which without hesitation identified the infection and performed the necessary procedure. Even worse, after this they have failed to take ownership of their mistakes. Do not take your animal here.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR RABBIT SPAY/NEUTER!!!! DO NOT GO TO DR. CHEW!!!!! My rabbit wasn't eating the day after surgery, I called saying I was extremely concerned. They said to not bring her in and give her treats and or critical care. She didn't want treats but we syringe fed her critical care not knowing she was going through gi stasis. She died early on Sunday morning and her surgery was on Friday. We called them back to let them know she died AND THEY TALKED TO US LIKE IT WAS OUR FAULT SHE DIED!!! Shame on ALL OF YOU!!! I wou... read more
Worst vet ever! They do not care about animals only making money!! Literally tried to sell me flea medication after giving me a few days left with my dog. They treat their patients with complete dis respect. It is all about money. Literally got kicked out for crying begging for help for a known medical issue for my cat. Do not use! Please use a vet that is caring!!!!!
Waited an hour and a half and still no dr came into the room to see my pet. This was an hour outside in the car waiting for a room to become available and then 30 mins in the actual room. If you are short staffed or that behind maybe a phone call to the patient's would be appropriate... And if you count how long I was on hold so I could check in that adds another 15 mins on to the time. I witnessed people with dogs arriving after me going right in before me and my cat. Then I had to wait for the staff to become available... read more
Today I made a call to this vet's office for both of my dogs to have their nails trimmed and have their anal glands expressed. I was told since they both were due for a physical in May the doctor (Dr Chew) would not allow the procedures because of the risk of liability. These are 14 year old dogs and have been going to this office frequently for these procedures. Have received all their shots and are up to date.I am on a fix income and the choice is roof over our heads and food on the table for the dogs and my family. Why is... read more
One star, because someone answered the phone! When I call to ask how much the procedure will cost to have my cat spayed, the receptionist tells me she doesn't know and I'll find out when I get there! What?! You have to be kidding me! No one who invests in going to veterinary school deserves such poor representation. I'm sure the vets at this establishment care a lot more about animals than the people answering their phones do... at least, I hope so. (Or, after reading some of these other reviews... maybe they don't!)
4/3/2018 My dear little miniature beagle rescue has been going to EGAH for about 7 months. She's been in for a series of shots and boarding. We've spent hundreds of dollars there. Since the very beginning, I've asked about dental cleaning. I know that my dog needs it and that it's expensive. On the first visit last summer, I was quoted about $750. In late February of 2018, I was quoted $780 and told that there would be a $72 discount, so it would ... read more
With a friends of animals certificate you can get your pet neutered for 65 bucks. Their website listed east geenbush animal hospital as one of the places that accepts the certificate. I called them to inquire about the procedure. The woman I spoke to on the phone stated firmly I wouldn't pay anything for the appointment and the neutering was free with the certificate. The only thing I would pay for was any pain meds and after surgery care. So I scheduled the appointment. I was charged 50 dollars for the appointment. The vet ... read more
