Get directionsWhen we first came to tour Elison of Pinecrest everything was very clean and we really likes the room sizes. Our loved one is starting to participate in the activities which is great. We talk a lot with the staff and the nurses and they are all very nice but they could work better with their follow through and their communication with the families. The meals times are also very strict, the residents can only eat within a certain hour and if they miss the meal time they have to wait until the next.
So far, my loved one has adjusted relatively smoothly. They take my loved one, to doctors appoitments, help with scheduling, and the aides are very helpful.
All the staff have seemed to be very helpful to the family and our loved one. The day that my loved one was moving in, the community went above and beyond and brought a meal up to my loved one's room for the entire family to enjoy. This is a reasonably priced community for my loved one.
I have had Mom in two other facilities. One was great, but an hour away and the other was by far the worst facility, for a memory care I have experienced. When you got off the elevator, the first thing you smelled was pee and poop, so strong it was nauseating. Pinecrest never smells like that. They have an exceptional clean facility and actually care about their residents. Most of the staff call everyone by their name and look out for them. They have activities all day long and excursions to restsutants, etc.. I am so please... read more
The tour was great. We were in the process of moving and we had to do the tours remotely. The community was great but there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one.The tour guide was good and was able to give me all of the information I needed about the community.
I thought Elison of Pinecrest was really nice. I liked just about everything about it. They gave a good tour and had a good marketing program. We chose a different place simply because we had another family member there.
Elison of Pinecrest is a grand place, if I had to go somewhere I would choose to go here. It is a larger facility so there are more people and more things going on. My favorite part about it was the Pinellas trail goes right by it. So those who are more independent can rent electric trikes or go walking and it takes you to shopping, restaurants, etc. This gives you the freedom without having to drive a car.
Our family had an in person tour and it was a great place, friendly people and they seemed to have a lot of good activities. The biggest drawback was the covid restrictions - they said only vaccinated people could visit their family. However we still have recommended this community to others.
