I am currently a resident at Elison of Pinecrest. The housekeeping is awful! The move in was great. Just take what they say with a little grain of salt. Remember, they are trying to sell the place. The meals are good food, but cold. Trying to go back to plates served, lots to fix. Overall, I would recommend the facility to others. Warning, showers are made from old tubs and not really safe.
Staff: Independent Care...Outgoing and friendly... HOUSEKEEPING: maid service can be intermittent...public areas are maintained well. Entire facility is being remodeled. Paint, carpet, lobby furnishings. COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILY: families visit most anytime, apartments available for staying over, emergency contacts are kept on all residents. Communication is open. The lobby is like a gigantic living room and is the hub for many activities like Friday afternoon happy hour. Most daily social activity centers also radiate from the lobby. The dining room, the bar, the movie room, the pool table, etc., so there are always people with whom residents can interact in a beautiful and comfortable ambiance. Overall we are very pleased with Pinecrest. My mother in law has settled in nicely after 2 months there. The staff have been wonderful overall. Housekeeping is very light, but adequate (ex. the maids won't dust a surface if it has something on it). The food quality is good and we like the way the hostess ensures that someone coming in alone is seated with others. Staff has been very responsive to requests and questions. We used the recommended movers and were happy with them overall. We would recommend Pinecrest.
Very welcoming , staff is so involved and genuinely care about the residents so many activities offered , plus distance to and from my home is a plus about a 8 min drive.
Great facility but felt they don't know how to really evaluate new people coming in especially for memory care.

Of all of the places we considered, Elison was by far the friendliest. The vibe from the residents is very positive and welcoming. It's easy for staff to put on a friendly face, but you can't fake the vibe from the residence. Elison is very efficient and well run. At the same time, they manage to foster a feeling of openness and freedom we didn't get at other places. Only criticism is they have yet to hang my Dad's pictures in his room.
I have been very happy with Pinecrest. I would give a 5 in all categories. The only area I would probably say 4, would be food, and that is food in assisted-living only. The food for independent living is very good. The friendliness and energy in the entire facility is very upbeat. That includes the staff and the residents. Level of care in assisted-living has been very solid.
I am currently a resident at Elison of Pinecrest and everything at this facility has been great for me. I love this place! There are plenty of things to do. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. The staff, activities and value for cost are also great. I would recommend Elison of Pinecrest to others.
