Shared bathroom between rooms.... So sad if you get a sick or incontinent or sloppy neighbor. It can be smelly and dirty. Ugh. Let's just say the help do their best. English is a second language to most of these staff members... The women from the Philipines have a sweetness which is very different and endearing. It seems to be cultural. The best way to have a good experience here is to be very heads up and know yourself what is good and healthy and necessary for you or your family member. HealthSouth provided good care while my father was in their care, however, they dropped the ball when it came to post care instructions and treatment. They sent my dad home to care for himself the day after one of their nurses told me that he wouldn't be able to leave anytime soon. Knowing that he lived by himself, can't walk, on oxygen and experiencing a lot of pain they released him. My father begged them to allow him to stay until he was in a position to care for himself, their response was that it was the doctors orde... read more

This facility almost killed my father. The physical therapists were wonderful and the Dr. As well. However, the inexperience of the LVN's and CNA's were shocking. All but 5 knew what they were doing. Practices of overmedicating and leaving your loved one is soiled diapers are common. Personal hygene neglect and indifference also common. The case worker assigned to us is just a glorified cheerleader for the facility. She frequently avoided our concerns. On a positive note...
