This is the worst place to go for your storage needs. They will get you with a hook that there giving u a special price and then after 2 months they raise the rent on you with out even notifying me. What kind of business is that when we sign and agree to pay a certain price and then u just decide to raise the rent on me this place is ridiculous if they think im flgonna pay $175 for a hallway of a storage. Dont waist your money here they will raise the rent on you

How do you even get ahold of these people. We are trying to get into our storage that clearly states open til 10pm, plus we told manager my mom was moving out tonight been 2 hrs and we can't get in, new locks on gates, no one answers phone. We rented a trailer and are supposed to get on the road at 11pm yet we are stuck waiting on trying to find a way in to get our stuff out.

I've had a storage locker with them for about 6 months , moved all my stuff into their storage locker. Bunch of high end sneakers, watches, colognes , tv, gaming systems, etc... my locker was "broken" into on Oct 23 ... they went shopping through my locker ... i informed the female manager Lynn, she simply acted surprise and handed me a pamphlet to call the insurance. She didn't seemed shocked or surprised ... said it was probably my fault that I didn't make sure my lock was secured... but there was no forceful entry... file... read more
The good reviews are posted by people who have not gone through the full process!! The manager, Lynne, was lovely at the time I was signing the contract, but as soon as I had any problems, she became smug and nasty. We got charged an extra month because you must inform them of cancellation 10 days in advance. We explained our situation and Anthony just looked at us blankly and told me it was impossible to issue a refund. I don't buy that - issuing a refund is never impossible. DO NOT rent from Extra Space Storage at 340 S. Flower St. Orange Ca. 92868 if you care about your stuff!!!! I repeat DO NOT!!! I have rented a unit from them since 2014, the staff was always nice to me. Until Sunday July 29, 2018, I went to my storage to get some of my jewelry, and it was gone. I had at least $5,000 worth of jewelry in my unit, including heirlooms that were going to go to my children, my sons heirloom guitar, my grandsons hot wheel collection, etc. amongst a few other things. STOP! Do not trust these people! I rented a storage room 3 months ago and was told by the guy behind the desk that they rarely had price increases and when they did, it was a small increase and not to expect one for the first year. After only 3 months, they raised my fee by 25%! A 45.00 a month increase! When I went into the office to talk to the manager, a real Bi&@h, she was so rude I couldn't believe it. Not really thrilled with a few things....first, I literally moved-in 4 months ago and already had a rate increase. When I called to ask why, I was told that is the "norm" to gradually increase rates within the first 5 months, then the next 9-12 months, and beyond. In other words, the rate will never stay the same or hit a ceiling once you've moved-in. This place is not even worth a 1 Star!! DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE!! Not only did I have the rent raised on my unit 2x in 1 year, I also had my stuff stolen! I was told that my unit was not the only one; there are several units that have been broken into. The staff, and more importantly, the manager (a women, I heard that she has been working there a long time) were just awful and handled the situation poorly.
