Security: Unit was in difficult to access location, doors and elevator often did not function as properly requiring multiple attempts to access buildings. Additionally, Lot is poorly secured allowing to approach while this is happening thus leaving customers vulnerable to theft, harassment, or violence. Cameras contain blind spots, work intermittently, and due to the nature of the business I would recommend additional exterior cameras. Yesterday I went to pay for my unit that I had talked with and Barbara Intelligent said I am not going to show you the unit she then said I am going to call the cops on you. I called to speak with a representative about Barbara and how she treats African American customers. I was told by Barbara at the time to call Corporate which I did. I was told that her supervisor Beau would be calling me back the following day. When I called back the following day I was told I was told I was banned from Extra Space Storage. Showed up at 10.25am today (should have been open for about an hour), the office was closed. There was a note on the door that someone would be back at 10.30am, so we waited. There was a number to call on the door if no one was around, so a bit past 10.30am, I called it. No answer. I left a voicemail saying I was downstairs and I'd wait a bit longer. I called ahead to reserve a space and they told me it was $185. When I checked online they had the same size spaces for $130. The only difference was if the unit was climate controlled. I understand having to pay more for climate, but they should have offered me the choice and not just given me the most expensive space. When I looked at the climate controlled space, you could see water damage on the ceiling. The ceiling was LEAKING on the next unit over. So I passed. If u need storage. Please do not store your items at this facility.. They will rob u blind.. I was robbed twice first for my personal belongs like clothes and shoes. Before I could move out the thief's came back for my electronics. Management would not help me solve the problem. Please I beg u stay clear. Employees steal
