I spoke with Jan at this office in El Cajon. First I called their call center and spoke with Keiko, who was also very nice. Then Jan gave me a call back right away. They really make the unpleasant task of shopping around for the best storage prices very pleasant after all! I really like it when I get great customer service!

I rented a storage unit here and I got the pleasure of meeting Jayann. I was so stressed due to a last minute move and she was so helpful and made everything go so smooth and quick . The facility itself is very clean and I love that you need codes to get in and out of the gate. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family!

All around great experience. Courteous staff, clean storage facilities and secure entry/exit. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the location and other renters. My family has lived in El Cajon for over 60 years. My grandparents, parents and I have witnessed the slow decline of the residents of El Cajon. The storage building is surrounded by addicts, drug dealers and prostitutes due to the motels and low cost housing in the area. As for some of the other renters, they are only slightly better than the surrounding populace... read more

This is one of the cleanest facilities I've ever used to store my stuff. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and followed up to make sure your move in went well. I have, and will continue to refer people to Extra Space. As we all know, moving is not fun, but theses folks made it a lot more bearable.

This place has been in business, I was told, for 5 years(as of this date Sept2014). You wouldn't know it. Everything is super shiny clean. I mean REALLY CLEAN! No dust on anything including the a/c ducting over head). Oh, and the AC is cranked up on these HOT 100+ degree days in El Cajon. What blessing when I'm struggling to get trips in back & forth. I have rented a unit here since they opened. The facility is always clean and well-maintained. As for security, the place is difficult to get into. You get code to get onto the property, the door code to get into the unit complex and then your key to open your lock to your unit. All while being video monitored from the moment you step out of the property. The worst rental storage I have seen ever I don't recommend to anyone when you go there they gonna tell you $120 a month . But next one they're gonna charge you more and more every month is different.

Just got my September bill for a 10x10... $399!! No notice no explanation. When I called and wanted to speak to someone the call was cut after 2 rings. I'm FURIOUS. It's advertised on their website as 124, which is what we paid when we started out. A year later it's more than doubled. Just disgusting business practice. I am FLOORED.

Dump! I cannot believe this place hasnt been reported. These people are money hungry, charging me for insurance for 5 months, and trust me I have called, and I was told to go in person to remove the insurance. So I went in person to take it off, but the "computer isnt working"! Smfh. I never asked for insurance since the day I bought the storage. They tried to blame the person who used to work there for putting it on my account. Wow! But they cant take it off? Lmao. Today was the last straw of me leaving a review of this bus... read more
