Customer Service is a service that was not provided well today. The "ASSISTANT MANAGER" Jason Simmons was not pleasant and was slightly rude; he raised his voice as he rambled on and on and didn't really take the time to hear what I was asking him. When he was done being defensive and providing the absolute worst customer service; I asked my question and he said "why didn't you say that". Like Lindsay S., I also lost everthing in this fire from Summer of 2013. I'm still devastated. I lost over $40k worth of prized collectibles, only a fraction of which insurance could cover due to my policy limits. I don't fault ESS for the fire happening - things will happen (though I find it ridiculous that code enforcement does not MANDATE that these facilities have sprinklers throughout their hallways - come on!) but I'm beside myself at the way this event was handled by the facility. On July 2nd my storage unit burnt to the ground and I was notified the following day by a voice mail telling me to call them. Nothing seemed urgent. I was on vacation so I waited a couple days and they called again, so I picked up and they notified me. That was my ONLY contact with my facility that I have been able to make since this happened TWO weeks ago.
