I went on a week night and sat at the bar and had friendly service. The menu is very limited and mostly it seems to be a pizza place. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and it was good, but not special. If you plan on being "online" or use a smart phone, forget it. The wifi must be in the office in the back as it flat out won't work. You also can't get any 4G/3G signal as the building is concrete or something. I don't mean slow signal/service. I mean NO service.
Overall fine. Food was good, not great. Ambiance was fine, a bit cramped and a bit noisy. Table was wobbly and there was no attempt at hiding the multiple wood screws drilled through the side of the table to hold the legs together. Service was fine. Really not worth the price, but not a lot of good options at the National Harbor. For conference attendees and folks staying at the hotels there, this is a fine option.
This is a great place with great service and great food. I wa so happy I found this place while visiting the area.
Expensive for the quality of food. Crowded, noisy and our server was also the bartender so service slow. The drink refill slow and his recommendations on portion size was not honest so he could incur a higher tip. For example the salad to share and the size of the pizza. The shrimp scampi & spaghetti and meatballs were just average. The bill was $175 no achohol & very disappointed. Wanted to go to Rosa Mexicano but it was booked should have known that this restaurant had availability for a reason...
They were out of a couple of items early in the evening. The server gave the incorrect info a couple of times. When questioned and pointed out his error by showing him the menu,he said he would check with the chef (like I was incorrect). He came back and said the chef apologized and offered to get me something else. At that point everyone else was finished eating. He did remove the item from the bill. Would recommend he get more/better training. Would not return.
Server was great - warm, friendly and efficient. Everything went down hill from there. Table and chairs are very uncomfortable. The entire dining room gets blasted by cold air every time the door opens. Food was just average. Overall, too much to pay for an overall mediocre experience. Next time we'll just take the kids to Baja Fresh.
I waited 25 minutes for a beer. The table next to us arrived after us but finished their meal before we got our food. Server got the order wrong and said he would fix it on the bill. He didn't. I can get same food and better service at Olive Garden.
We sat at a high top table in the bar/lounge, which was nice, although the restaurant advertises "outstanding views" of the Potomac, which is just not true. Obstructed by a very large, vacant building, so partial views at best. The food was fine, nothing outstanding, and the service started out great (the waiters seem to "share" tables, so you have someone checking up on you regularly), but when a large party came in, a group that looked like Italian mobster wanna-be's, all their attention went to them and we had to flag dow... read more
We paid way too much for some of the worst food we've ever eaten. The calamari pizza in particular sounded interesting but featured calamari that was too rubbery and tasteless to eat atop a few leaves of lettuce, raw sliced tasteless tomatoes, and a layer of greasy, hard mozzarella. And at $70 for one adult pizza, one calzone, and a child's buttered spaghetti, the food should have at least been edible.
