I ordered the Baked Ziti Bolongnese. It was without a doubt the worst meal I have ever had. My wife and son said the shrimp with pasta was O.K.
Seats you can barely fit between, got our apps but no silverware. Service slow. Food good. But dishes pulled up. The noise level so high. Sent one of our teenagers into a panic attack. Our party of 9 was treated like a party of 30. Will never go back. Food was good but not worth all that aggravation.
I liked the thin crust pizza, but they had run out of most of the starters by the time we arrived. We were served by the bartender who tried his best, but other than that - they seemed unable to cope with the volume of guests.
This was perhaps the most expensive and worst Italian restaurant that we have been it recent years. They did not have any bread. What Italian restaurant does not have bread. The crust on the individual pizzas was extremely dry. The open faced lasagna tasted more like Mexican than Italian. The prices were very high for this type of informal setting.
The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes before anyone approached us. The inattentive service continued. My husband had to ask twice for a new napkin as his was soiled. I don't know if we received "special" food preparations, but the Baked Zita Bolognese had only about 1 tablespoon of sauce on it, and was topped with at least 1 cup of cheese. Not very tasty, and certainly not Bolognese. My husband's oven-roasted salmon was marginal, at best, with the vegetables grossly unde... read more
I understand restaurant business is about turning the tables, but if a groups of five is in and out within an hour on a Friday night, they're being rushed. And there weren't backed up with customers!!! A few empty tables and still we were hustled out instead of letting us linger. For profit sakes, if you keep us longer we may drink more. That's where the $$ comes from....remember?
This was the worst restaurant meal that we've had in a very long time...and we eat out approx. 3-4 nights a week. Our appetizer was cold, so we sent it back and the second was no better. The entrees were also just not very good....Service was so so. It is also very loud to the point that it is difficult to carry on a conversation...also the tables are too large, again difficult to make conversation . I would not recommend this restaurant
Fiorella Italian Kitchen was a disappointment, very noisy, the waiter had to be reminded to bring bread and did not know the price of the catch of the day. Pizza was more than one person could eat, but not remarkable in quality. The baked-in seafood pasta turned out to be spagetti in red sauce with shrimp, squid and mussels still in the shells in a casserole dish sealed by overcooked (burnt) pizza crust. Not on the water as advertised. The bread was good.
If you go to an event at the National Harbor, don't plan on a meal at Fiorella Italian Kitchen. The restaurant is too noisy to hold a conversation, the runners and servers can't keep the correct pace, the food is sub par, and even after we mentioned our displeasure to the manager, his only response was to try it again, they were working things out. Please work things out on your own dime. For $90 a couple without alcohol, that's a very expensive training session.
Fiorella's Italian Kitchen has a 3.8 star rating with 2,508 reviews.
