We have had our dog Buzz stay at FDR multiple times. While they are a bit pricey, he has always enjoyed being dropped off there...which is a big sign to us that he loves the place. He gets excited when we pull into the parking lot. Staff knows him by name and has always been great. We did the 1 week residential puppy training with him last year, and it really helped set a great foundation. He's not perfect, but he's still just over a year, but we are still very impressed. I had a great experience setting up a stay for my cat Jesse. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and my cat had a very cozy place to stay. We will be using this pet resort for future stays.

Our dogs are always very excited to go to Folsom Pet Resort. They love to swim, so access to the pool is great. The grooming services are a plus, very convenient.

Following my earlier post, I was contacted directly by Folsom Dog Resort. They took the issues raised in the post seriously and acknowledged my concerns. They explained the history of their billing methods and the need to offer "stay" separate from "play" which was very helpful. They acknowledged they could do better on accommodating people like me whose situation was a bit out of the ordinary. Very friendly accommodating staff. Very nice facility and amenities. Great place to board your pet. Unfortunately our dog caught a cold from staying there. We reported this to management and they agreed to pay the cost of having our dog treated by our vet. We will use this facility again if we need to board our dog again.

We are just back from our free Dog training lesson to learn what our dog learned last weekend while staying on their silver Lodge and Learn package. 2 training and one play session a day. He is walking on a leash like a dream!! Trainer Lexi spent a solid hour with us explaining and demonstrating the lessons and tutoring us while we tried the exercises with our dog. We highly recommend them for both kenneling and lessons. We have used them twice for our two large dogs (who get to stay together in a larger size kennel).

2.5 Stars (Good care of my dog; lousy business practice) My husband picked up our 11-month-old puppy today from Folsom Dog Resort. We were happy with how smoothly drop-off went. We knew that, per reputation, Luma should be getting very good care. We did not know that the quote I received on the phone...would not be what we were charged. I called in on a Saturday to book. My dog can't wait to get out of the car and sad to leave when he stays here! Love the outdoor park and pool where he can play and socialize. Staff is friendly and helpful. Knowing he is happy while we are away gives a peace of mind! Considering the doggy day care to keep him active and happy while away in the day!!!!
