My RESCUE dog stayed here for 7 days and we had no issue at home after she came home! She is 5 years old and when she was 2 I tried to board her, she was not only horrible but I don't feel the staff understood her needs. Originally I had signed her up and was willing to pay for extra one on one time with a professional staff member. She did so well I her group setting they called me and told me I wouldn't need to have to pay the extra amount! We had our 1 year old dog stay here during the 4th of July weekend and was pleased on how well he did. When we called they explained that the base package is just for boarding and you can add on different levels of activities and snacks. We decided on a package with outdoor water-time play sessions since our dog loves water and it was summer time. I have not used the trainers yet. But have boarded my dog and used the day care. She loves this place, she gets soooo excited as soon as we get near there. Everyone is nice and helpful and take great care of my dog. Definitely recommend.

I recently used Folsom Dog Resort to board my dog for a week while we were away for our wedding. I have never boarded my dog before and was really apprehensive about it but the whole experience was great. I first went in for a tour and the staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable with answering all of my questions. The facility is huge and they have awesome play areas for the dogs to enjoy themselves. I'm on the fence with this one. It seems like a nice facility but I have some issues. 1. They constantly try to up sale and charge for every little thing when making a reservation. 2. My dog has stayed twice. The first time she came home with a massive case of diarrhea, the second time kennel cough and an eye infection. 3. When I picked her up, her dog bed was COVERED in white longer dog hair. My dog has a short solid black coat. This means either there was another dog sharing her kennel or they don't clean very well ... read more

Our two dogs stayed here for 10 days. Five of those days were "lodge and learn" days. They did a wonderful job. My dogs are now walking by my side loose leash and much more attentive to sit/stay/down commands. When my wife came home and saw how relaxed and calm the dogs were, she asked if they were really our dogs!! Good work, Folsom Dog Resort!

As puppy parents planning a week long vacay, we wanted to make sure that our Jameson was getting the very BEST boarding. After considering several other alternatives, I came across the Folsom Dog Resort. I came in for a tour of the facility and was instantly drawn to the location - it was clean, provided ample indoor and outdoor play areas, and the staff was VERY polite and helpful. I have only used their daycare facility, however I can't say enough about how excited my puppy was The staff appeared very courteous and professional. The computer system seem to perplex people. Overall, I was very pleased with the facility. I would use the program again.

We sent our 2-year-old lab, Bailey, for the 15 day training after Michael's excellent presentation of what we could expect. After good experiences with "puppy" training, we were at a loss as to where to go next. We did not have the time or skills to really refine our dog experience. Our "pick up" session with Tracy was great. We learned so much about dog behavior in general and Bailey specifically. She showed us the skills and commands Bailey had learned while in residence.
