Forest Hills Cat Hospital was founded in 1974 by Dr. Jay Luger. In the mid 1970′s the idea of a cat’s only hospital was revolutionary because small animal practices were primarily dog-centric. During that period there were less than a handful of feline only practices. Nowadays there are more than 200 feline only practices in the US. I have been taking my cats to the FH Cat Hospital since I first got cats in 1990. There’s no one else I’d trust with my fur babies. The vets are wonderful and the techs, well, the techs are the best anywhere. They continue to go above and beyond.
My 4 babies are always in good hands. Whenever I need them they are always available.
I have been taking my cats to FHCH after having a horrible experience with a different local clinic having just moved to Queens. Dr Tuzio was extremely patient with my tiny lion, Leo, who went ra little wild at each visit. In the end when he had cancer at age 18 she gave me excellent advice regarding how to manage his final days. Dr Luger took excellent care of my Shayna when she got sick on Christmas and the emergency vet care didn’t really work. I’ve been using them for 20 years with outstanding results.
The doctors and staff at Forest Hills are excellent and very caring. They take very good care of my 13 cats.
The vets at this Cat Hospital are wonderful. I have brought 2 kitties to see Dr. Luger and Dr. Tuzio for years now. They are thorough, compassionate doctors and their staff is terrific. What I really love is the afternoon hour when you can call with any question and speak with a vet. It's like having a pediatrician for your fur baby.

Dr. Allen is wonderful and the vet techs are superb. They’re treating my senior cat phenomenally.
This is the only place to take your cats
Although my cat couldn’t be saved, the doctor gave me his honest opinion on the matter at hand. I think I would come again.
