Forest Hills Cat Hospital was founded in 1974 by Dr. Jay Luger. In the mid 1970′s the idea of a cat’s only hospital was revolutionary because small animal practices were primarily dog-centric. During that period there were less than a handful of feline only practices. Nowadays there are more than 200 feline only practices in the US. Getting two gorgeous kittens in January and there's no one else I'd take them to. Drs. Luger & Tuzio were wonderful with my senior cats when they were still with me -- and now it's time for the new generation to meet the good doctors!

I have taken my cats here since 1990, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Luger is an amazing diagnostician and has saved several of my cats' lives. All the doctors and staff are fantastic. It's clear that everyone here loves cats and values their humans, too!
I have been a client of the Forest Hills Cat Hospital for almost 35 years. Dr. Tuzio has been taking care of my cats for at least 15 of those years. I have absolute trust in her and the techs who work here. They take very good care of my fur babies.
I will not take my babies to any other place. Dr. Luger and Dr. Tuzio are great with my cats. They are so patient and have taken good care of my precious kitties. I am so glad to have them in my neighborhood.
I had the privilege of interning here as a fourth year veterinary student. The doctors and support staff chose to take time out of their busy schedule to teach me. It was such a positive experience with both staff and clients and I felt compelled to share this. A huge thank you to the doctors and technicians that helped me learn so much over just a short 3 weeks, and to the clients for allowing me to learn from their pets. Simply put, just a wonderful place all around!
