Showed up for my check in and actually arrived a little early and let the realty office know...was told the room is not released yet so we got other things done and then returned at our designated 4:00 check in. Upon arriving the entire rental office had a line out the door...so we waited patiently and tried to check in to our condo at 4:15 and were told it still wasn’t ready. Asked why and was given a smug answer stating check in is either 4:00 or when house keeping is done. So I replied well that could be anytime?? He sai... read more

We stayed at Surf Master 203 and it was a lovely property. Check- in was easy and our condo was clean and comfortable. It was very roomy and I hope we can rent this property again next summer.

STAY AWAY FROM GARDEN CITY REALTY. On our most recent trip to SC (July 2018), the condo we rented was burglarized. Somehow the burglar got into the condo when we were at the beach, even after the doors were locked with no signs of forced entry. The burglar stole cash, wallets, and my wedding rings. The police officer who responded said they get a lot of calls from people who have been burglarized at units managed by Garden City Realty, possibly because they use the same keys over and over and don't have any way to monitor... read more

We regret to hear of this unfortunate incident during your stay. Contrary to what the police officer may have speculated, we monitor and replace our keys regularly. Unfortunately, there are numerous burglaries along the Grand Strand every summer without any signs of forced entry - not just at GCR properties. Sandy Shores 1 HOA is like dealing with a member of the 3rd Reich in 1930's Germany. Knocking on the door at 6 am about parking in spots. Posting notes on the door about rules and reg at 8 am and calling the towing company to have cars removed. They give you one parking pass for a 3 bedroom condo. Say far away form this complex .

They tell you check in is at 4. I had my five kids ages 1-12 ready and there by 3. Our property was not ready. Ok I can wait til 4. It’s 4:30 and it’s still not ready. No one there knows what the other is doing. Total joke.

We stayed in Ocean Cove 106 the week of June 23rd. Our entire family noticed we were getting bites of some sort. We finally realized they were fleas. We reported it to the office and didn't hear anything for 2 days until I called a manager. After we departed they had the condo "inspected" and said they found nothing. We paid a lot of money for the condo and they basically acted like they were not concerned. Needless to say I will be renting from Dunes Realty from this point forward.

We regret to hear you had an unpleasant stay in one of our rental units and that you feel our offices didn’t address your issues accordingly. Since condo complexes do not allow pets, you most likely encountered sand fleas which are common along coastal areas and marshes. They typically do not infest homes, as they prefer seaside habitats. In any case, we are sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your stay.
