Out of 3 visits this year for a painful skin condition I have seen PAs twice and Dr. Gaughf with a PA in the room once. I was initially told that my condition is likely to recur, however I have not been given a long-term treatment plan to deal with it that I feel is satisfactory. The office itself is all glitz and glam and feels like the focus is on beauty and not illness. I am not comfortable with the environment and feel that most of it is for show and not concern with medical issues.

We apologize that you left our office feeling less than informed. In Dermatology, many conditions are not black and white and the long term plan is often not clear initially. We have to try different treatments and after trial and error, adjust based on outcomes. You could compare this to chemotherapy or treatment for cancer. We are sorry if we didn't make this clear. I didn't actually see the doctor, but one of her PAs. I'm not completely sure how I'm feeling about the whole process. I guess they did more than I was expecting and I'm sort of smarting from the visit. My guess is that they are addressing my particular situation and that I should be pleased. Any distress I'm having from what was done I suppose should be expected. My next step is still unknown until we have lab results.
The entire staff (with the exception of the PA’s and 1 of the nurses) are very rude and very unprofessional. As a medical professional myself I am amazed the amount of disrespect, carelessness, and un-professionalism that occurs in this office. I personally have heard her talk down to an employee as well as speak negatively about another employee all with in the same visit. This was my first and last time as a pt at this practice, and will not recommend or refer a pt to this practice ever!
Dr. Gaughf, is very unprofessional. I came into the office and was marked up for the procedure, then she left the room called her nurse out and had the Nurse tell me she wasn't going to do the procedure. Her office runs well because of her wonderful PA's.
Went there for relief of eczema. If you have it you know how miserable it can be. If you don't have it , just imagine having poison ivy itching ,weeping skin for months. Her PA gave me prescription from online pharm. in Texas so takes 5 days to get here! That's 4 more days WITHOUT relief vs getting prescription filled same day in town & getting some relief within 24 hrs. Price was less expensive on one of prescriptions but more expensive on another. They could have taken time to divide them
Her practice is based soley on how many patients she can push through her office in a day, definitely not because she cares about the patient. After getting there 15 minutes early and waiting over an hour, she was condescending and rude when discussing what I was there seeing her for. I had a place on my head that I wanted her to look at and she scraped it off with her fingernail! She spent maybe a total of 5 minutes going in and out of the office twice. Read the other reviews.
I had an appointment yesterday Jan 5, 2018 to remove a tiny skin tag from my left nipple. I believe Blair was the nurse. She had problems seeing the tag but proceeded to cut the tag verses burning it. Rather then cut the base of the skin tag itself, she cut many layers of the nipple which bled like crazy and will scar. I am not happy at all.. It was just a tiny damn skin tag. I came to a professional rather than cut it myself only to be stuck with a scar for life. It looks terrible!
The most unprofessional office ever, from the receptionist to the doctor! Crazy wait times to only have the doctor in the office for minutes. The PA's Amy and Blair fly into the room, never introducing themselves and are rude. Very untrustworthy in there decisions and diagnosis. No genuine patient care whatsoever. Do not let the PA's remove anything from your body or you will have horrible scars. I would not recommend this office to anyone!
Too fast and too quick. I had to ask what the PA's name was and she came and went in less than 3 minutes. She looked at my skin, wrote notes, then left and someone came in to give me vague directions. Getting an answer on what I should actually be doing with my treatment was like pulling teeth.
