Definitely do not recommend We had a night scheduled in July. My husband broke his leg at work and now we cannot go. They refuse to refund any of our $ even though this is a medical reason. We gave them 6 weeks notice & they will easily find someone to take our spot. I understand the refund policy, but there should be a medical understanding (especially with a drs note). All of our other campgrounds refunded our $ with 0 problems. We will never book here again. Compassion and understanding goes a long way.
Do not book here!! Staff is unprofessional and dishonest. We booked a cottage for the weekend of September 6th for that Friday and Saturday. We called Friday during the day to make sure it was ok to arrive after office hours. The gentleman on the phone said yes and that our cottage would be open with the lights and TV on. We even made sure to repeat that to him to make sure that was what he meant. That it would be OPEN, no key needed. We went up from Denver and unfortunately that night the highway was closed due to a rock sl... read more
So I have booked this place many times in the past even with how outrageous the cost is. I have been told multiple times by the manager (the old grumpy unhappy fellow), “It cost a lot because we are a resort”. Again no issues at all in the past. However, I made a last minute reservation for this past week. I was not made aware nor were any of the other customers of power outages. The resort was made aware about a week prior. If this was a normally priced camp ground there would be no issues. Again, it is far beyond a normal... read more
The river tent sites are decent. The view is great. The sound of the rushing river is like a natural sound machine and our boys slept great. The tent sites are not worth the price, especially since a train roars by squeaking its breaks every few hours all night long.
We had to cancel our scheduled trip to Glenwood Canyon Resort as I fell ill to pneumonia. We were in contact with Glenwood Canyon Resort about this and waited as long as we could trying to get my health up. After a follow-up Dr. appointment showed that I was still sick, we decided it was best to cancel as it didn't seem likely that I would be healthy enough to prep and tow our 33ft travel trailer up there to camp. Unfortunately, this is when this situation went sour with GCR. They informed my wife that they would be keeping ... read more
Looks like a beautiful resort. We were really looking forward to our stay when our rv camping trip from Florida to Wyoming was disrupted. The day before our arrival my wife suffered a medical emergency. I provided copies of emergency room documentation as well as a copy of the airline ticket to fly my wife back to Florida from Denver. I even Followed up by providing medical documentation from her primary care doc who she saw the day after her flight from Denver.. Policy clearly states no refunds and no portion of our $260.00... read more
Be more hospitable. Do not stay at this resort - that worth the money at all!! we just traveled through Colorado and this was the worst and most expensive campground. DO NOT STAY!
The campground does not adhere to their own rules. If you want to party all weekend and hours past quiet time, then this is your place. If you want to relax with your family, or have small children, or are just wanting the peace and serenity of the mountains, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. We had to listen to pounding music that vibrated the camper until wee hours of the morning. Two of the three children had a tough time sleeping.....not to mention us! We spoke to the office after friday nights party and was told there were several... read more
If you like to listen to bass and party music all night long that shakes your camper, then this is the place for you. We have spent 2 nights here now and both nights the music has surpassed the “quiet hours” (10 pm - 7 am) I spoke with management and their response was oh did you hear it? Ha ya everyone in a 3 mile radius heard it. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully this review will save someone with children a sleepless night.
