Great atmosphere! Staff was very friendly from hostess to bar staff to wait staff. We were promptly greeted and as we were leaving we were thanked by hostess staff and management. Food selections are plentiful, and everything we ordered was great! This was my second time here. Very nice atmosphere - we sat at the bar. I ordered the half salmon salad (very happy there was a half order option as the large are just too big) It was one of the best salmon salads I'veever had - very moist salmon with a bit of crispiness. Delicious greens with strawberries and a yummy dressing. Will definitely go back just to get this salad! The manager chatted with us for some time and was very friendly and helpful.
We went for New Years Eve. Our food and beverages were good. The manager of the restaurant was visible and stopped by a few times to see how we were enjoying our evening. We will be back!
We've been to Grindstone on the Monon several times. Overall, it's a nice spot for a drink and we've had a few decent meals there. Unfortunately, they seem to still be going through growing pains and their food is inconsistent in quality. We went there with friends on New Year's Eve and several of our entrees were bland or overcooked... I would recommend sticking with their appetizers and "pub food" (burgers and sandwiches). We chose Grindstone On the Monon for New Year’s Eve. The special was well-priced and the food was excellent. My wife had Halibut and I chose the Filet Mignon. Will definitely return.
Our first time there and definitely not the last! There is a wide variety to choose from and was hard to decide. Will be going back to try something else. The pickle-brined chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had! My husband had the Clancy Topper hamburger that he said tasted like the Top Chef at Burger Chef way back in the day for those of you who remember it. Atmosphere very nice and staff outstanding!
The overall service and food was very good. We ordered a slider that was rare and had to be sent back for different item. Nice place to eat with family and friends. Great atmosphere.
Great menu. Food came out piping hot! Cat fish was light and delicious. Can't go wrong with the breaded tenderloin!
