Dr Thayer and his entire staff are wonderful. They have cared for our dog and cat over many years. We had our spicy cat in yesterday for his yearly exam, and of course I could not get him to take enough of his gabapentin, so he was extra spicy for the entire team. They handled him with great care and respect, and he was able to get a full exam, his distemper shot, and his blood drawn. Very impressive! I have full confidence in Dr Thayer and his team, which is well deserved.
The care and compassion I received from all of the staff for my ailing cat was stellar. Dr. Thayer took time to explain what was happening and was very available to answer my questions. Sadly, I had to euthanize my cat but they made the process so comfortable for me and my cat. Highly recommend taking your fur baby here.
We love Hartsdale Vet! The staff is so kind and caring and they will do what they can to squeeze you in or get you an appointment you need for a certain time. We brought our cat here for years for appointments, boarding, etc. When our cat passed away, we got a moving card from them in the mail with personal messages from all the staff. It really the personal touches that make them so great - they really care for your pets! Highly recommend! We will continue bringing future pets to Hartsdale Vet.

I took my Cat, General in for a annual check up and I still shedding tears of joy! Okay, I am exaggerating a bit but honestly, the service was second to none. They really showed genuine care and kindness towards my cat. He has been traumatized by visits to different vets and he hates to be carried but as soon as I walked into Hartsdale Veterinary Hospital, I knew it would be different. This year we lost our elderly rescue dog and after a few months, we welcomed a new puppy into our home. When I took him to Dr.Thayer for his first visit, the doctor sat with me for 30-45 minutes, one-on-one, discussing new puppy care. He was informative and caring and just great. Dr.Thayer is thorough, compassionate, and smart. We have been going to Hartsdale Veterinary Hospital since it opened its doors almost 17 years ago. We have 7 pets and they have been in Dr.Thayer's care since the day we brought each one home. Dr.Thayer has never recommended unnecessary tests and has never made us feel like we are getting anything other than the best care for our babies. I would trust no one else to care for them. In addition, his team is always welcoming and warm!
