It is not designed to print large quantities of documents. I had to leave to make an Appointment. I Had 212 pages to print. I started the print Job then Left. When I got home the printing was done but the papers were all over the floor. I tried to put the together create a document i could use but the papers that were not on the floor were out of order. I had to use another printer to get a complete set of documents.
WORST PRINTER EVER. The printer is eating colored ink at a rapid pace. I DON'T EVEN USE COLOR INK WHILE PRINTING...YET IT USES ALL THE COLOR INK! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
Not recommend! I expected higher quality, the printer constantly message to replace the drum when I’m printing and I get black lines on each page of my prints. I just bought this machine and there is no option to contact the seller.
Fusion Rollers broken after 2 years of Use This appeared to be a great printer at first, I replaced the drum about a year after I got it. I always use genuine Brother toner cartridges. After 2 years and 44k pages printed, the paper started to become wrinkled when printing and I learned that the fusion rollers were defective. When chatting with Brother support they advised me to contact an authorized repair center, there are no repair centers close to me. Would not recommend Would not recommend this printer does not print good quality documents consistently. Gives no notice when out of paper just prints on the other size paper loaded.
Tray 2 Error Brand new printer out of the box and Tray 2 doesn't work. It keeps showing an error that the tray isn't installed: "Take out Tray 2 and push it back in firmly". I tried reinstalling the tray, it still doesn't work. Does Brother no longer perform quality control any more? Be prepared to spend 30mins repackaging this pile of junk and hauling all 50+ lbs to your UPS store. Amazon isn't any help.
An Unsustainable Money Pit I own two laser printers, this one and the Canon imageClass. Print quality on this is OK, but the Canon is better, you can tell the biggest difference on colors. Canon is much more precise on colors, and seems to have a superior color match. I can live with this, not happy about it but I can live with it. But what I can not live with... Does NOT Scan Can't believe I paid $430 for a printer/copier that doesn't scan... I thought it would, but going through it I see now that it doesn't. Probably my fault, but it should have been highlighted in the page somewhere. I assumed a printer at this price point would scan... Haven't decided yet if I'll return it and get one that does or just suck it up and keep this one but purchase a cheaper one with scanning functionality
Slow printer with no help from the Brother Printing Company Our office ordered this printer after reading several great reviews thinking it would be perfect for our busy office.
