My husband [name removed] has dementia and several physical problems. He has been at Indigo for 2 1/2 months after preceding care for two years in hospital, plus two other assisted living situations. Since his welcome to Indigo his mental outlook has improved, and his social contacts. He has increased interest in certain activities offered, including a night trip on the Indigo bus to enjoy Christmas lights and decorations in the surrounding area. I know the staff has a very hard time with some of the patients but they do a good job. Definitely have a higher tolerance than I do I have been in the facility once and it had a bad smell I informed the staff and they responded very quickly. We discovered that one of patients had stopped in the middle of the hall and went to the bathroom. Maybe some air freshener would help

We are very happy with Indigo. My parents are together for now and they have a point system for extra care for my Mom. Eventually my Mom might need to go to Memory Care. We are hoping to keep my parents together for as long as possible! The staff is really trying to help my Dad and give him some breaks. They also counsel him on how to care for my Mom and how to talk to her so she doesn't get upset or how to calm her down when she does get upset. My family is also very helpful. Someone is there often. We all take turns.

The staff was wonderful from beginning to the end. They were always available and very willing to answer all our questions and assist in every way. Great experience. Looking forward to continued working with these fine folks.

I have done projects for a handful of communities and Indigo is my favorite. The staff is great and the residents seem genuinely happy. There are smiles, fellowship and laughter everywhere you look.

This place is wonderful! I highly recommend it. Great staff and I really love the location! When I retire I hope I wind up in a place like this. Warm, friendly, and in a great location. Thank you so much!

We toured Indigo at Carolina Forest while visiting the Myrtle Beach area. We went in without an appointment and they rearranged their schedule to accommodate me and a friend. The facility looked new and was clean in all areas that we toured. We were impressed with the attitudes of the staff that we met during our tour, they were happy to see us, and that meant a lot to us, especially dropping in without an appointment. Indigo shows love and care above and beyond any other senior Care Center they pride their selves in the value of taking care of the elderly and assisting the elderly that are able to get around They greet you with a smile, and have a thorough background of knowledge to provide for considering a new home. I would recommend indigo over any other in all of Horry County so if you want quality care, a loving and kind spirit, call indigo.

Indigo makes you feel at home right from the start! Everyone greets you with a smile and pitches in to help when needed. No detail has been missed when it comes to the endless activities, events, and the food is amazing!!
