My puppy Cashew went to a 2 week puppy training camp and came home fully crate trained, well on the way to being housebroken, able to sit, down, stay and "go to your crate". I just booked them again for a 1 hour ini home training session to deal with his anxiety walking outside (he's a bit nervous since he's a rescue put via the fabulous #rescuedogsrock

We sent Ava to Puppy Camp for two weeks with Instinct. She worked with Maggie who worked with her on a number of basic foundational puppy skills, but primarily on impulse control and walking patiently on a leash. Ava came back having learned so much, and Instinct left us with a number of techniques and drills for us to continue to work on with her. In addition the puppy camp gave us access to a weekly obedience class which continues to challenge Ava and provide us with a good community and forum to ask any ongoing questions ... read more

I am so impressed with Sarah Dixon and Instinct. From day one Sarah commanded the attention and respect of my pushy, ‘dorky’ cocker puppy and after a week of puppy training camp, he is a new and improved pup. Sarah is also helping emensly with my older cocker who is suffering from depression and separation anxiety after the death of his sister. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah!!

We worked with Suze to train our 70lb. mix Desi. She was great and instantly helped us identify ways to help our sweet little girl transition from puppyhood into adult dog life. We would definitely recommend Instinct (especially Suze!) .

Our dog, Norbert, really puts the TERROR in terrier. He is about 1.5 years old, and, for the last six months or so, started to get very leash reactive. He was fine at home with our older dog, fine off leash in all settings, and has never tried to hurt any people or dogs. Walking down the street, however, was a total horror show; Norbert would rage and bark and snarl at every dog on the street, completely losing his mind. I read every positive training guide I could find and watched hours of training videos. Sometimes, it fel... read more

I started training my pup, Mali, at 10 months. She's a rescue, a street dog from Azerbaijan, and we didn't know her history at all. She had no formal training at all. However, her temperament seemed to be nearly perfect for the sort of training I had planned - specifically to be a service dog. We took her in for a consultation and then had her board for two weeks, and by the time we got her back it was determined by our wonderful trainer Sarah Dixon that she did indeed have a temperament suited for service work. I had a comp... read more

With a baby on the way, we sent our Harvey to Instinct for some intensive training/boarding. I wish everyone could have met Harvey before and now after his (over a month) stay with the amazing team at Instinct. With the guidance of his trainer Suze, Harvey has truly become a happier and more confident dog. Harvey has a bite history, anxiety, guarding issues.... among others. We just had our first at home follow up training session and I feel like crying with joy. We still have work to do and will do for the rest of his life,... read more

Instinct is the place to train or board your dog. Positive reinforcement and skilled personnel is the perfect combination. My blue nosed pit, now called the best behaved dog in my neighborhood, only loses this title as he ENTHUSIASTICALLY approaches Instinct, as he can’t wait for the fun activities that await.
