This place should be held criminally liable for how they try and keep your stuff from you when you tell them you're moving out. I've lost things with sentimental value as have my family members that I stored items for. I can't believe it's all gone because of these people.

Never Store with this company!!! They took over storquest who I had a month to month lease agreement. I have never signed any agreement with them yet created new undisclosed fees while they hiked existing fees, unbenounced to customers. They refuse to honor they existing contract and implied that a letter saying they were new management was sufficient to hike fees. If you do not pay the new fees you loose your items. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I started with the "internet special" monthly rate of $76/month and after the 4 months my monthly rate jumped to $168. I called to discuss this and was told the monthly rate was up to "the whims" of the owner. I was offered a lower rate of $111 but it was obvious through this discussion that this is a regular issue. Even the extra $25/month is outside of my budgeted allowance based on the claims of the website. I am not just storing an extra couch because I have too many, I have nowhere else to go.... read more

Unethical company! BAIT AND SWITCH! Rented a unit on February 17th paid first full month in March. In April I received a letter that they were going up 2X the rent! Shame on you Extra Space Storage. I am in property management and spreading the word where NOT to store!

After several month renting a 10x10 storage unit the price went up over 55%.Moved to a closer location and a smaller unit 5x5,the price just went from $55 to $86. Increases are way out line and certainly border on illegal but certainly immoral.

Rented a storage a month ago was homeless the whole month my property was kept here. Finally found a place to live just to come back to my property with an additional lock I did no place on it. I reached out to customer service multiple times just to get the run around my reported move out date is on a day they are not open. I am expected to move out with no access to my property and best part of it all my account is current, yet no management is available to remove the lock off my storage unit.

Places are clean, bright and look great except when someone breaks into multiple storage units and they steal your stuff. In ******,AZ the extra space storage on ************* has large openings above the roll up doors so that the cooling vents can blow into the units. We'll guess what, the same openings allow people to climb over and into your unit and break the lock from the inside, then steal your stuff. We recently encountered a distressing situation with our storage unit. A significant part of the wall was noticeably seeping water, resulting in a constant trickle down its surface. This led to our stored items becoming damp and infested with a black, slimy mold. The odor was intense and unbearable.Due to ongoing construction, we were unable to access our unit and were advised to return at a later time.
