My wife and I go to J prime a few times a year and usually have a great experience. Reservations were running late and we ended up having to take a seat at the bar after waiting 15 minutes past our reservation. Staff was very polite but service was slow, took 20 Minutes to get our drinks and almost an hour to get our food after ordering.
It took 30 mins to get our table, we had reservations for 8pm, we didn’t eat dinner till 9:30, Way too late! The food was good but took too long to get it! Don’t think I would go here again. They were busy Saturday, but should bot take this long! Too many other steak places in town, and prices are high for what you get.
J. Prime in San Antonio was the perfect choice for a birthday celebration. The food was outstanding, the service was attentive and professional, and the ambiance created an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. Every detail came together to make the evening feel special. Highly recommend for celebrations or a great night out. The manager Alex and our waitress Lilly made sure we had an amazing experience.
The service was great. Our server was very attentive, and always asked if we needed anything. However, both our appetizer and entree were severely under-seasoned. For the price of our tomahawk steak, we expected to at least have it seasoned.
We have been visiting J prime for almost 3 years now. We have always loved the food and the price wasn’t too bad. We have noticed that our usual order is now almost twice the price and service quality has diminished on top of it. Our plates used to be $55 each for the entree and that same entree now cost us $86. All the while, the steaks actually looked smaller than before. It feels like a different restaurant now and for that reason, we won’t becoming back.
