Okay, except cracks in the flue liner were not explained as being caused by a limited chimney fire. Also provided misleading information on costs associated with flue liner replacement. Initially said it would be less cost than a gas insert, then said the opposite.

Our history with Mr. [Member Name Removed] began back in 2001 when we serviced his 1926 fireplace once. He scheduled our service this year to prepare for the sale of his home. Anton did a great job of cleaning the chimney without leaving a mess behind. He worked from both inside the house and also inspected the chimney cap. He used a camera to show us the condition of the inside of the chimney and explained any issues to monitor over time as there were no immediate repairs needed. Their price is a bit higher than some other companies that provide this service, but I've used them in the past at another home, and they've had a good reputation for many years. Perfectly. On my first phone call to Jack Pixley, Debra politely asked qualifying questions to help me determine our needs and then scheduled our appointment. The day before the appointment we rec'd a confirming email that included Anton's picture so we knew who to look for, which we found very helpful. The service with Anton and another tech, Randy, went superb. They were clean and thorough, explained everything they were going to do, reviewed our service upon completion and with no mess. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the chimney sweep, Anton, called prior to coming to the house with a specific ETA, which was right on. He was very professional and had an extensive knowledge of chimney and fireplace installations. Anton was courteous and very tidy and finished the job right on schedule. He used a video probe to inspect the both chimneys and gave us a thorough briefing about their condition. He repaired the deteriorated mortar neatly and efficiently. It went really well. They were on time, replaced the cap very quickly. It wasn't super expensive. The price included a new cap as well as installation.

He was prompt, professional, clean, and willing to keep trying to solve the mystery of the odor. While ultimately we still have a problem, it wasn't due to lack of effort on their part. I highly recommend them.
