Got it working knew what Kurt was doing. Very professional and polite guy
The service was excellent! He painted the inside of the fireplace, cleaned all components, added a little rock at the bottom. It looks like a new fireplace and now works perfectly! All done in an hour time.
I moved into my house about 3 years ago and used the fireplace the first two winters, but then decided to have it inspected before using it again. It was clearly older, and I was a little concerned about safety and whether or not it needed cleaning/repairs. Prior to the appointment - Pixley sent out a reminder along with a photo of James, just so I'd know who to expect. I had tried for 4 years to hire someone to clean my chimney out of the phone book, most said we don't service your area, or said we're too busy. This year I tried Angie's List and found a large list. I read through the first recommended service company and found it's customer referrals were not that great, so I started reading through the referrals for Jack Pixley Sweeps and liked what I read about them. Scheduled for an inspection and sweep since we haven't had one since we moved in. After doing the inspection first he said we didn't need a sweep as it was pretty clean which saved us a lot of money.

They seem to have state of the art technology. But I've never used a service like this. James seemed extremely knowledgeable. He was patient with our many questions. He explained what he visualized on his in chimney video display as we watched. He also got up on the roof to examine the outside chimney and related parts. Husband wanted to climb up also to have a look. We received less than favorable news and it was not recommended we use the fireplace due to extensive flue and mortar cracks.
