They found cracks in the rest of the tiles and gaps in some of the joints. The sweep showed up on-time and on short notice. The sweep cleaned up completely and there was no evidence that he had been there, besides a cleaned chimney. The video camera gave us great views of cracks and gaps and the sweep was able to take computer images of the problems. He left a disk with the images of the problems for our records. Overall, the work was excellent, efficient, and courteous. We would use them again.
They are real professional and show up right on time. They of course don't get any soot in your home. They are very honest, and for three years running, I have not had to have the full cleaning. It costs $89 for them to come to the door, and $100 for a full cleaning.
Arrived promptly at the early part of given 3 hour window. Carpet and large surrounding area was covered before work started. We have a 'heat form' type fireplace, and I learned quite a bit about it's operation from the inspector/sweeper. I was very pleased with the cleaning and the care taken to ensure than the living room remained clean. Will definitely hire them next year.
I received a quote over the phone for an inspection and cleaning. The person answering the phone was very knowledgeable about the process and asked detailed questions to make sure she was giving me an accurate quote. Their price were higher than another Angie's List company which also had very good reviews so we went with the other contractor.

Appointment was 11-2, and he didn't show up until 2:30, and we had to call to find out he was going to be late. Other than that he did a good job with the cleaning and inspection. And, explained in full detail everything we needed to know, as well as answered any and all questions that we had.
Excellent. I have used Jack Pixley Sweeps for years. The owner is focused on quality. They offer a discount to get your chimney cleaned in the summer. I am very pleased with them.
