We celebrated my husband’s birthday at JOEY DTLA, and while our initial experience was disappointing, our server, Stu, made the evening enjoyable. We had an 8:45 p.m. reservation for two but were initially escorted to a table for four. I told the hostess I was not comfortable with the seating arrangement, and she advised that we would need to wait another 5 to 10 minutes.
