Horrible experience today 08/26. The waitress has bad communication skills and will throw the remainder of your food away without asking you if it’s ok 😡. The manager Did not come to our table until there was an issue with the service or food 🤬. The manager went to all the other tables and asked if everything was ok and if he could do anything for them..🙄 Oh yea, not to forget the waitress goes to tell the manager she was threatened when in reality she was not and only told to “Go” and leave the table. It’s always busy an lines are very long to get in for dinner style food. Parking is a nightmare also. Not worth waiting up to a hour for. There are better alternatives in the area to eat without the lines.
Food is ok but over priced
Recommended**PROBABLY NOT GOING BACK FOR A WHILE** My family and I are regulars and frequent Kekes in South Lakeland often. So much so that when I was there today, 11/24/2018, several employees welcomed us and said hello. This place is usually PACKED so I knew we were in for a bit of a wait. TODAY, was an extra LOOONG wait, which I found odd because I observed several open tables. The food was AMAZING, but the service was super slow. Highly unusual for this place. They are usually right on top of everything. We had to have the manager come over and bring our to go box and take care of our bill.
They don't have grits or biscuits and gravy on the menu. Food was just ok, not great. I won't go back.
The pancakes had good flavor but we're very tough like they over mixed the batter. The ham was dry and tasted like cardboard, the eggs were dry and burnt. The potatoes were flavorless and some thick slices were still crunchy. I was very disappointed. The service was decent, nothing to write home about, but the food was not good. I won't be back. Certainly not worth a 40 minute wait to be seated. My husband did say he liked his omelet, though.
Place was clean and staff and service was good. But they did fail me in one area. No grits! What breakfast place doesn't carry grits? This is important to me because I don't care for home fries or anything else offered on the sides menu. The waitress said they don't carry them because they only have a four burner stove. Well Keke's, how about preparing them and putting them in something like a crock pot! I won't be back unless I have to go there for a group setting.
