there was a time when Landmark had the best service. Not so much anymore. I have been with landmark for near 40 years, But about 2 years ago the service is horrible. If you try to reach them on the phone, you can plan on a lengthy wait on hold. If you select having them call you back, forget it they won't. Back in December of 2021, our joint checking account was hacked. More than $1,000 was charged to a crypto currency website. I received an alert from Landmark, asking if this was me. I called to let them know it was a fraudulent charge. The charge was still pending, but despite all of this they would not stop the transaction. I was told by three different employees that we had to cancel our debit cards, let the charge clear, and then open a case to try to get our money back. Buyer beware!!! If you apply for a loan they will require you to open a savings account. My local credit union had an offer to transfer my loan with Landmark to them with a better interest rate. My bank took care of the whole process. Little did I know, I had a savings account with a little money in it. My wife and I had a auto loan with this company since 2017. We recently traded in our vehicle and bought another, the vehicle was paid in full. We were sent a nasty letter, I contacted them and spoke to a mrs W******* and was treated horribly and was threatened that they would ruin my credit. Worst finance company my fiancé ever dealt with. My fiancé n I requested to refine our loan and get my name off the car before I started to shop around for a house. Almost 5 week later, still no papers. It took my fiancé n i to finally go in there after countless amount of times of trying to get in contact with our loan officer. One of the worst excuses for a Mortgage Department I have ever worked with. They continually make mistakes on payments to my account (checks cashed that are not in my account AND continually don't give me credit for money that is deposited into the account. They also lied to me when I took out the mortgage (time to process loan). I have paid off my mortgage this week. "Good Riddance" to this pathetic excuse for a Mortgage Lender.<br /> <br /> <br />
Won't let me cash a check alone, but will let my ex cash same check alone. Double standard if you ask me.
We have been with Landmark many years. Ever since COVID and their system update. It has been just about the worst customer service I have encountered with a business. It is TERRIBLE! A 1 star rating is being generous.
