The new cartridge was empty I bought this product last November to be ready for when my then current cartridge would run out. It ran out yesterday, April 22. The new cartridge worked for about 20 pages and then ran out of ink. The window to return defective products is closed. Money down the drain. Very upsetting.
Do Not Buy! Installed new cartridge. About 10 good copies were made and then ink ran dry. Cartridges defective.
Not Genuine! This ink did not work. It said on here that it is genuine, but the printer says otherwise.
Inferior quality Prints as a light gray instead of black. At least mine did. Maybe I received the bad one in the bunch.
Description was incorrect Wrong ink the description was incorrect and had the printer model that I have as being compatible, wrong and now I either have to pay 11.99 to ship it back or be SOL. Probably will never order again
Ink not recognized by printer. Put this ink cartridge in my brother printer and it says it does not register as a brother product. Of course this ink color didn't run out until 3 days after my last day to return. Frustrated. Have to buy in advance so don't go without printer. What's the point of paying high price for name brand if it isn't even recognized by printer as name brand.
The ink works but my printer doesn't recognize it We purchased the correct ink replacement for our Brother printer model MFC-J985DW and the packaging looks completely authentic however, my printer tells me that it cannot detect ink volumes and to replace the cartridge with a genuine Brother part. That is what I ordered and supposedly received. Update - My printer refuses to operate because it says I have no yellow ink. The cartridge is still half full but now I have to buy a new yellow ink cartridge to make the printer work.... read more
Wont work I tried to make the black ink cartridge work. My printer does not recognize it.
Guess what happens when I installed the "high-capacity" cartridge? ... Guess what happens when I installed the "high-capacity" cartridge? It was almost out of ink. Tried to re-seat it - the printer would not recognize it. This whole Brother-high-capacity-inkjet thing is proving to be a sham.
