About a year ago I ran into a financial situation and had to take out a loan. The payment was very high but I had no choice. This forced me to start using my credit cards and everything started to get out of hand.I contacted Liberty First Lending and they helped me get a consolidation loan at a much better rate. Very fast and easy process!

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for the exceptional assistance I received from Liberty First Lending. After being burdened with mounting debts since 2018, exacerbated by the pandemic's impact on my family's finances, I found myself trapped in a seemingly endless cycle of high-interest rates and ever-increasing balances on my credit cards. My minimum payments barely made a dent, and I felt utterly hopeless.Fortunately, I stumbled upon Liberty First Lending and decided to reach out for help. From the very beginning... read more

Filled out something online and a guy named **** ****** called me back with the "terms". Thought I got a loan to pay off my debts but he said I did not qualify for a loan but was "approved" for a debt settlement program. Never had any intention of giving me a loan.

I signed up for this to get out of debt. I talked to ******** who works at the law firm that answers questions and sets the account up. They make a lot of promises that sound too good to be true. I called about debt consolidation but its actually debt settlement, which requires you to stop paying your credit card to prove you cant pay. They then leverage this with creditors to hand off the debt to them. I asked ******** if those missed payments will stay on my record and she avoided the question and said my credit rating wou... read more

What this debt consolidation program really is a discount debt buying opportunity for Liberty/********. Potential harming your credit rating when they dont pay off 100% of the debt they are consolidating on your behalf. The loan rate your pay is not actually the yield on their loan to you, because you will pay the face amount on the loan provided plus interest and they in turn dont pay off the entire amount of your existing debt. Every dollar they dont pay off increases the effective interest rate that you pay them.

Business response:

We appreciate you sharing your concerns and understand why this may feel confusing. To clarify, our primary service is a debt settlement program, where we work to negotiate and resolve enrolled *********** some cases, once a client is enrolled and progressing in the program, there may be an opportunity to apply for a loan to help accelerate settlements. This option is not guaranteed and depends on individual qualifications, but when available, it can be used as a tool to help resolve debts more quickly. We also want to be tra... read more

This company is no better than a predatory lender that takes advantage of people with low credit scores. They pretend to be a lender for people with credit difficulties and they are nothing more than a "debt consolidation" company. After an excruciatingly long "presentation" I did sign up for the program yesterday, and I regret it now. I will be canceling the program, and advising my bank not to accept any ACH withdrawals from this company. Buyer beware!
