I have been taking my pets here for several years. I had a lot of health issues with our first dog, and LMV was pretty good at helping me navigate her illness. It is the specialists that get very pricey! I find LMV prices very reasonable. There was only one vet, who no longer works there, that made me knock a star off the rating. He was rude and incorrect in his assessment of my dog. The low cost vaccinations are great. For tech procedures it is very easy to get in. I love Linda Mar Veterinary Hospital. I've been taking my dog here since I got her, about 7 years, and I've never had a bad experience. We've seen just about every vet and all have been wonderful. Weather a well checkup or she's there for a problem, and there have been a couple, it has always been handled professionally, expertly and with empathy and compassion, and I love the follow-up calls, which still surprise me every time! I have several, SEVERAL animals, and Linda Mar Vet has been taking care of my pets for over 6 years now, and they have always been super-professional from every aspect. They're probably not the CHEAPEST around (especially having 6 dogs and 6 cats to care for), but they are the best, and I wouldn't put my pets' lives in the hands of less-qualified or experienced vets if I don't have to. I am new to this vet office....I followed an excellent Veterinarian from another office. I can not make an honest assessment of services, prices and staff as yet.....I will have to update my review at a later date. For now...I give it five starts just for having Dr Maria DePunzio DVM on their staff. I hope they know who they have! The best rabbit vet on this side of the bay! I will drive the 20 miles for her expertise and care of my rabbits.
I was taking my cat to the groomers but they recommend updated vaccines. The groomers recommended this vetinary hospital. I called them and not only were they able to squeeze in a last minute appointment but were very friendly. When I arrived an hour and a half early, (because my cat was freaking out in his carrier) they were able to put me in a room right away and even let my cat hide under their sink in a little cabinet. LMVH is a great place to take your pets. They are always busy and sometimes run a little late, but I always feel they truly care and are super nice to my cats (even my terrorist cat who tends to attack the staff) and I always feel confident in their care. Treatment can be expensive, but that seems to be the way all veterinary hospitals are going - charging for every little thing - so their prices are comparable IMHO. They also have really long hours so getting an appointment around my schedule is fairly easy.
This is an absolutely wonderful veterinary practice. Dr Cyndi Stiglich is just fantastic, and the front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. We've been to all the vets on the coast, and Linda Mar is hands-down the best (and it is very fairly priced).
I was not happy with the vets and staff at APH in SF and was recommended LMVH from a fellow dog owner in my hood. I am glad I did. My 12yr old dog is exeriencing arthritis and had a flare up. I brought him in to see Dr Cucaro who is amazing. She is not only great with my dog but great at giving me information about what options I have and don't push and guilt me into treatments I am not comfortable with. I just wish it was in SF!
