They have always been very caring to our dogs. They helped me locate a rescuer when I found a cat I couldn't keep (although it became moot; long story) and offered many free resources when we lost our oldest dog. They take time to explain their recommendations and findings in intelligent layperson's terms. The staff always remembers our Perdito (and remembered Gizmo) when I schedule appointments, and seem happy to renew the acquaintance. We stopped at Linda Mar Vet on the day after Christmas because our Pomeranian had an extremely painful problem. They were booked solid, but after a little persuasion from the dog (sad brown eyes and a big wail), they said they'd work him in. Within 20 minutes, the doctor had not only helped our little guy's problem, but spotted another potential health issue that we followed up on with our regular vet. Ten years ago both my cats went here for a spade and neuter. They did a great job. Now ten years later my male cat was having some problems. The hospital opened a cat clinic nearby. It's only for cats and is comfortable and quiet (no barking dogs). My cat was not very accommodating to the vet but they remained professional and we figure out a solution. They even called when they said they would. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I had a great experience and would bring either of my cats again.
Back in the early 90's I use to take two of my kitties to this vet hospital. I always felt that they received good care and I even made the trip from Burlingame to Pacifica to take them there for their apts. even after I moved. Fast forward about 15 years later I am the proud Mommy of a German Shepherd mix puppy that my boyfriend and I adopted from Rocket Dog Rescue in SF. The receptionists, technicians and doctors are all wonderful at Linda Mar. I have been going here for over 10 years and have only had the best of care. Each individual is kind, compassionate and very knowledgeable. They have a wealth of information and experience at every level of their practice, and are very willing to answer any questions you may have.... and provide handouts for further clarification. Linda Mar Vet Hospital is a great place to take your "kids". We have taken all of our animals there for years and the staff and all of the doctor's have been terrific! Our current vet for our two frenchies is Dr Ilana Strubel and we love her! She is kind, caring, compassionate and our doggies love her too! In the past we have also seen Dr Cucaro when we had kitties and she was wonderful as well. Best of all, they are open 7 days a week and until 8pm M-F. Very convenient. Chiropractor Acupuncture Low Cost Neutering Low Cost Shot Clinic This is a wonderful hospital. Not only are they caring toward the animals, but they go OUT Of their way to help rescue! Wonder Dog Rescue could NOT do the work it does without the amazing efforts of the folks at Linda Mar. Gosh, I forgot to mention, they are also open on Sunday!
After not being able to get into Pacifica Pet Hospital for another 2 weeks we decided to call Linda Mar because our dog was in pain. Boy are we glad we did ! The very nice lady on the phone took time to ask detailed questions about our dog and said there is an appt available next day. They called previous vets to get records. I love this Veterinary Hospital. Kyt and I first came here when we got our Himilayan 'Reggie' about 4 years ago. We brought him in after adopting him from an Animal Rescue shelter and wanted to be sure he was healthy. They treated him like the little movie star he is and he really liked the attention he got. The assistants and Docs are all super friendly and helpful.
